First timer, here's my take; Location-good, easy in and out. Service-good, sweet and knowledgeable about product. Food-this is where it gets sticky on a review. Lillian serves a lot of snow birds from all over the country, so food prep on any product will vary depending on regional tastes. I asked if the Rueben was grilled, no it's toasted, that's a negative for me. I asked what's in the chicken salad. The ingredients were not something I would typical use so she gave me a sample. It was delicious. She asked if I wanted Texas toast or croissant, really I just wanted old fashioned loaf bread, but since that's not offered I opted for Texas toast. Again, it's out of a toaster and not grilled. So that was disappointing since toasting make bread VERY VERY dry. I had take out so didn't think to ask if it would have a spread such as mayo, I just assumed a sandwich would have a spread to keep the bread from being dry. I got to my destination, which was sitting on the dock of the bay, and tried to get very dry bread down my throat. The sandwich was not cut to make it manageble to hold and the bag did not have plastic ware or condiments of any kind. The sandwich desperately needed salt and pepper, but again, nothing was in the bag except a sandwich.
I spent$8.40 for sandwich only, no drink or chips at that price. Inflation is everywhere!
Would I go back? The chicken salad itself was delicious, so Absolutely I'll go back! But next time I would know that one must ask for condiments! Apparently southerners eat dry toast. Ask for...
Read moreFirst purchase was a day after they opened the new location in Lillian. They were sold out of the chicken salad, so I asked first if the turkey was real turkey breast, and not lunch meat. Shelby said yes. It was great. Next visit I got a chicken salad on a croissant because they were out of Turkey. It was okay, but a lot of chicken salad for the small croissant. Then I tried the French Dip roast beef. It was good. Went back yesterday for another Turkey sandwich. Disappointed! It was like lunch meat. It's sad because I would love to see this place succeed in Lillian. But...
Read moreGreat service and food. Ordered the "Warrior Sandwich" which is a super Italian sub. Plenty of meat, cheese and other sandwich fixings. Coupled with Lays chips and a drink for a great price. Also ordered the French Dip that had super good flavor. Looked like there were around 25 different sandwiches on the menu. The order was taken and delivered quickly. Shop was recently opened here in Lillian and is a wonderful new addition to...
