I am currently driving through the United States, stopping in towns and small cities as I go, trying to get a better sense of the culture of the U.S. When I stumbled upon Harley Dawn Diner, it was exactly what I would think of when I think of the "modern diner". The interior was clean, friendly, and brightly sunlit. There were two people working front of house when I arrived, but the service never felt slow or shallow. The smiles I got were genuine and the service was prompt. While there, I got the Goat Cheese Egg Wrap and a scoop of Blood Orange ice cream. Let's start with the wrap. What a spectacular breakfast burrito! The goat cheese gave a creamy, tangy bite while the avocado balanced out the tartness. The bacon contrasted with its salty, savory chew and the quinoa rounded the experience out with some needed balance. The wrap was $11 and I was full halfway through eating the meal (and I hadn't even touched the home fries yet). And yet, I wasn't struggling to finish it because every bite beckoned me to eat more. Then, when the wrap was done, the crispy, fluffy home fries finished the meal off with a chef's kiss. After such a wonderful breakfast, I was inspired to have some of their home made ice cream, even though it was only 11am and I was very full. I got a very generous scoop of blood orange ice cream for only $4.25. And wow, this ice cream was unlike most modern American ice cream in a good way. There was almost a chewy consistency which reminded me a bit of Turkish ice cream; and the bits of candied blood orange peel added a textural chew which popped with flavor. What a breath taking scoop of ice cream. And I don't say that lightly as a professional ice cream reviewer. Over all, this restaurant, which focuses on sustainability, local ingredients, and great service, lives up to everything it sets out to do, all in a clean, welcoming atmosphere. If I am in New Jersey again, I am stopping by. 11/10.

Sept 26-While on our way to Marlton we stopped at Harley Dawn diner for quick lunch at 2:30 The woman server sat us (an empty restaurant) at a booth almost next to the kitchen on back wall. When she heard how cold I was, She said you can move to the front booth of the restaurant. We placed our order, goat cheese salad and a goat cheese burger. She explained it was a hamburger with goat cheese on top, That’s why it’s called goat cheese “hamburger”. I have ordered this at another establishment and I really didn’t need her to explain to me as if I was a child( I am over 60 years). Her tone of voice was loud & condescending. When our dishes arrived she slammed the plates down on the table. While my husband and I said thank you! He asked for more coffee; she did not look happy only a scowl. She had only 3 deuce tables in the restaurant for 45 minutes. The salads were fresh with homemade Greek dressing. My burger with spinach & onion ring topped with seared goat cheese was delicious! Upon asking for the bill, I told the server we didn’t appreciate her attitude and constant raising her voice. She apologized. She was lucky we gave her $5. Too bad but we will never return after 4 prior visits…2 out of 4 miserable server experiences, we are done! (Need to hire Upbeat Young help)

Out of all diners and believe me I am a diner hopper, I have been to them all this is my least favorite sadly it's not on my list anymore and I had ate there many years and many times.

I do not care for their ranch dressing it is so thick and doesn't taste like ranch at all in fact it is just horrible.

I do not like any of their tomato sauces they lack flavor and are bland and just plain uck.

I did not care for the fact that when ordering take out they nickel dime you to death for the the container, the bag, it's fine we know it's not free but incorporate it into the take out price don't make the customer feel like he is handing over arms and legs to pay for his meal.

Their fried food has a stale greasy taste, that I do not care for. I do not like any of their fried foods from fish to burgers, especially fried seafood it is all batter. Crab cake chicken croquets,to much filler. Meatloaf does not taste like meat loaf, stuffed peppers their tomato sauce ruins it and their gravy is not much better. Soup is bland The staff is not really that friendly and out of all the diners I have went to over many years, they are least friendly and caring here. I recall many times going in the doors and the wait staff was doing nothing and just left you stand there, like you were bothering them. No hello how many follow me, very complacent. Turned me off.

The wraps and clubs hardly have any meat in them. If it's fried it is horrible.

I could go on about other things, like the bathroom being not real clean.

I just really feel there are far better choices and PRICES at other diners very close by and a lot more friendly service and if we are paying for the bags and take home containers they aren't letting us know about it.

Honestly I stopped going there after the take out hold up I experienced that was right after the solar panels went up and when it closed I didn't miss it and now that is't open again I don't feel I am missing anything either and don't intend to try and find out. I had ate there many times and each time realized my money spends anywhere and I had indigestion and didn't really like the food.

There are many diners in the close vicinity that have far better food, service and the bottom line prices.

Further more unless someone left them money, or they hit the lottery or gambled and won big they are in debt up to their ears. They leveled the place, build all brand new and solar panels a couple of years before that not leased bought with the bank sign proudly on display on the land so you do the math= I wanna make the most of spending my money and I can't pay their bills and they can't pay mine.

It seems people are always talking about going green. This “green” is always in reference to the environment, but are you considering how much “green” you get to keep in your pocket?

Government regulations on new housing and buildings require builders to build with the environment in mind. Homeowners are now more aware of their carbon footprint and are looking for new ways to be eco-friendly with their energy usage.

One method that continues to come into the conversation is solar power. The use of solar panels and utilizing the sun to provide energy, however, may be the least efficient way to spend your money on promoting better home energy usage.

“Solar panels are cool,” butt...“There are applications where if you can’t get power, solar is a great alternative. But if you can get power, then solar isn’t the greatest alternative on the planet. It costs too much money. It doesn’t provide that much power; and it’s got a 20-year payback. By then you have to replace...

First visit to Harley Dawn a few days ago. Having heard wonderful things about the diner, I went with high expectations. But sadly very mixed results.

The place is clean, bright and inviting. Then things went downhill a bit. Our waiter seemed a bit confused about what sides were available. He brought our drinks promptly, and the salad and soup for those who had ordered those. Then I noticed him just standing around a lot (as soon as he’d see a car pull into the parking lot, he’d grab menus and just hover near the door, waiting for them to park and make their way in. We weren’t able to get his attention when we needed it. He eventually brought my daughter’s meal, which had a few special requests, and was done as she requested. Then the rest of us waited, and waited and waited for our meals as he stood chatting with one table for about ten minutes, stood by the door, talking on his phone for at least 15 minutes. When he finally ended his call, and brought the food, it was obvious it had been sitting under the heat lights waiting—my mashed potatoes were dry and pasty, the gravy on my meat was almost rubbery on top. My poor little toddler grandson was cranky by this time, had eaten the crackers from my soup and wanted nothing to do with his chicken tenders. The food itself, outside of being a bit ‘over’ because of the long wait, was good and plentiful. The corn chowder was amazing, my husband enjoyed his chicken croquettes, daughter’s plate was exactly as she’d asked for it. The sides were very generous and excellent. Unfortunately, daughter wanted to get a couple of things to take home, but was afraid to order and have another long wait for our cranky toddler, so she skipped that. The only bread brought was very spicy pumpkin bread-which is fine if you like that sort of thing, but it would have been nice to have the choice of a dinner roll. Oh, and when we asked for boxes for our leftovers, that took a while, and two trips for him to bring enough.

I would probably give the restaurant a second try-only because the food was good, but would definitely avoid that server, if possible. I’d suggest, if a server is tied up with a phone call, or chatting with another table for a while, that there should be a runner available to get the food out in a timely manner. Look, understand, I do NOT ever expect instant service when eating out, but in a diner with fewer than a half dozen occupied tables, at least three servers on, it should not take well over a half hour from ordering till the...

This has to be one of the most amazing diners that I’ve ever been to. They’ve done an exceptional job at providing guests with warm, personable, and welcoming experience that you’d expect from your favorite local diner. However, their commitment to providing customers with locally grown farm fresh ingredients, homemade comfort food, delicious and homemade deserts. I personally think the Key Lime Pie is a “MUST HAVE “. I usually get the pie “to go” because the homemade ice cream is to “die for” and have the most creative flavors with ingredients also locally grown and made with the highest quality ingredients and you’ll . Don’t worry, they also have your traditional favorite ice cream flavors that are far from ordinary and so fresh and delicious you’ll fall further in love with every bite. The pulled pork is out of this world and Shrimp Parm is a MUST HAVE....it’s orgasmic and I can’t help buf order when I visit....even if it’s just to takuue hone and eat for lunch the nexts days lunch

The renovation is fabulous and I was Very impressed ...if I had to describe the look...it would be “cozy-chic’-meets farm fresh fabulous”...such a great design. There’s so much room and the tables are not like most restaurants that try and jam as many people in as possible just to make a quick buck. From the moment you’re greeted at the door until the moment you leave, the staff obviously place an unprecedented and infectious dedication to create a wonderful experience that leaves you and your guests wanting to come back for me.

DID I MENTION THE COCKTAILS ARE DELISH⁉️

The most impressive attribute is their passionate “commitment to embrace green and environmentally sustainable building”. The building produces 100% of its own electricity...I gained great insight by checking out their website and reading the “about us” section and encourage you to check out their Commendable contribution to reducing or eliminating the carbon footprint… Very few restaurants so such dedication and care for our earth…... oh yeah.....did I mention the prices? Very incredible considering they use the finest and freshest...
