Location: The restaurant is on the corner of Citrus & San Bernardino and is almost nondescript; save for the banners street-side. Parking is small & tight, so it can be hit-or-miss.
Décor/Environment: The décor is a bit of a mixture of diner-related pieces mixed with country pieces...a little disjointed.
The dining room is a good size and a little tight; so it can get loud (particularly with screaming kids). Still, you can overlook this because of the constant visit from a waitress with fresh coffee or water.
Service: We experienced friendly, prompt service. Even though the restaurant was really busy (Sunday at approx 10:30AM), our waitress did a great job.
Food: Vegetarian omelet: 3-egg omelet full of veggies. I opted for rice, beans & homemade tortillas. Like most restaurants, the omelet needed seasoning/flavor. The beans & rice were 'meh', nothing special nor interesting. The homemade tortillas were good.
Chicken & Waffles: the waffle was light, airy and paired well with the homemade whipped cream and fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, almonds).
Pancakes with Strawberries, bananas & crushed almonds: the pancake was okay and not the star of the dish. The fruit made the dish, unfortunately.
Coffee: surprisingly delicious and endless
Price: Good, fair prices. Total for four people and good...
Read moreThe food is good, but the service towards teens (like me) is actually bad. Me and my friends came and sat down. We expected them to bring us menus like they do with other older people but they didn’t. So my friend had to get the menus herself. Then no one came to take our order. All the waitress said we had to order up at the counter when we’re done deciding. Which they never do unless it’s for takeout but in this case it wasn’t and we were like um okay? And it’s just annoying because I don’t get why we didn’t get the same treatment as the next group of people (who were older) they immediately got seated by the waitress, she brought them their menus, took their orders at the table, brought them their food and drink which they never did for us. And they literally served us our food in paper plates while the other people had their food in actual nice plates. I don’t get why waitress and restaurant act like this with teenagers. And me and my friends noticed the difference in treatment. The waitress was always attentive with them but not with us. Do better! We are also paying...

The spinach stuffed chicken is tender and has a creamy spinach filing. It is technically two small chicken halves sandwiching the spinach, instead of a true stuffed chicken breast, but it still works well. The sides and accompanying bread are tasty too.
The Greek burger is also recommended. They have a generous feta layer on top of a moist burger with fresh lettuce and a crispy tomato slice. At the bottom is a layer of the thousand island dressing. The distinct feta and thousand island flavors might not seem like an apparent fit, but the salty cheese and creamy dressing provide a nice contrasting spectrum of flavor.
We have also had the French toast and pastrami melt, and both were pleasers.
Don't let the exterior fool you. This was an old Miguel's jr, and has gone through a number of transitions, so it looks a bit run-down at first glance. Nevertheless, the food is always clean and staff is...
