The drop inn — Restaurant in Forest Acres

I had this restaurant on my to do list while I am in Columbia but I haven’t had the chance to try it. I accepted a delivery order for this restaurant and was excited to see it. First, it was hard to find. I was not expecting it to be way back from the road in a desolate and somewhat run down area. At first glance I thought the building was a repair shop and junk yard due to the large trucks and broken cement in the front.

When I walked in there was a young man on his laptop and a woman seated in the front waiting for her order I assume. I told him why I was there and he told me someone would be out. Five minutes later someone came out and told me the customer’s order will be ready in five minutes. After waiting over five minutes a gentleman walks in behind me and another lady who I assume is the owner immediately acknowledged him and viewed his phone. After still not acknowledging me she went to the back. That gentleman then went to his car. She then comes back looking for him and once again said nothing to me. The first woman comes back out minutes later with food. I ask her if it is for my customer and she says no. I then tell her that it’s been an excessive wait much longer than she estimated and that I may have to cancel and the company can send another driver. She then opens the door to the back repeating what I said to the other woman. The woman in the back says with an attitude that she is just now packaging the order up and I can cancel (in an aggressive nasty tone). I proceeded to walk out and cancel the order.

I understand being behind but not acknowledging a person patronizing your business twice is crazy and highly unprofessional. And then to respond in that manner is even crazier. Judging by what I experienced just trying to pick up someone else’s food I will most definitely not be trying...

Although I have not personally visited this establishment, I discovered it on DoorDash and I must say, the food is truly incredible. It is, without a doubt, the best breakfast food I have tasted in a very long time. The flavors and quality remind me of the homemade meals prepared by my grandma and mom. After experiencing their food through DoorDash, I am genuinely enthusiastic about visiting the restaurant in person. I am excited to have the opportunity to not only savor their delicious dishes but also to enjoy the atmosphere that I can only imagine complements the exceptional food. I am eagerly looking forward to this...

This is my second time ordering from here. The first time the food was good, but my salmon croquettes were extremely small. I ordered today, the fish had NO meat on it, literally just skin and that was burnt, again, the salmon was small and burnt and had too many bones inside. The second meal was missing the salmon, they gave me a dab of grits, hardly no cheese, and the fish was hella dry. They got me twice and will never get...
