Airport Cafe — Restaurant in Forest Park

I never write reviews unless my experience is either A) really phenomenal or B) extremely terrible. My experience was the latter. This cafe is right around the corner from my job. I've only visited two times, and both were poor. The first time, I got breakfast around 10am for me and my coworker. The food was cold, burnt and rubbery. I decided to give it another shot today on my way back to the office from the gym. Something more simple this time; a salad. I knew they closed at 230 and I arrived 10 minutes before then, but I thought a salad would be a simple and quick order. When I placed it, the girl behind the counter laughed under her breath and said, "No, we can't do that. Dont you know we close at 230"? Started going to this place when it first opened over 12 years ago. Food was always decent for the price and decent portions. It was close to my job which made it convenient. The previous owner sold it I think about a year ago. The new owners don't have a clue to what they are doing. Food is cold, servers aren't friendly and the quality of the food has gone down hill. Made my last visit three days ago. Was getting a salad and there was a baby roach crawling around top of the container with food in it. The server saw it but pretend as if it wasn't there. Hey family, I love this home cooking cafe by the Atlanta airport. They are always appealing to hungry man appetite. They aren’t hard on the wallet and give healthy portions to your pleasing.
