$70 plus $10 tip for us to get a Pub burger with avocado and an elk burger and a drink. The add ons are $2 a piece but they won’t tell you that in my experience. The Elk burger had mushrooms, bacon and clam chowder which made it $30. The drink was $12. The pub burger was $22 because I added avocado. The drink was okay but personally I’d never order one for myself. The food was very bland. And it’s disappointing because last time we were here, I tried the crab mac on account of the waitress saying “it’s her favorite!” —it was so bland, I sent it back for a different dish; something I have NEVER done before. The menu is VERY small, about 5 different dinners to choose from; yet it seems the cooks don’t care how these dishes taste because they seem to always be lacking flavor. Or maybe that’s the recipe— bland. My fiancé and I both feel sick the morning following this meal as well. We might stay at the lodge here someday but the food? Overpriced, bland, making me sick the next day? Pass! A note about our server Adrianna: Yes we tipped $10 but that was obligatory. We traveled hours to get to Kalaloch to sight-see and she entirely ruined my hopes of seeing auroras and ruined the vibe entirely saying “yeah well the one time I saw them it was barely a green glow anyone could see with their eyes alone”. Was that necessary? It put a damper on my vibe for sure and it came off quite rude honestly. I only mention this because of the review saying she harassed an autistic boy, I had the same server. Maybe just a rude lady.

Restroom was in good condition, but not as good as it could've been. A quick check of the restroom cleaning log made it clear why. D.C. who I'm sure is a lovely individual, seems to not be pulling the same weight as the other restroom cleaners. (A.A. and F.D.S.H.) According to my calculations, D.C. only seems to clean the restroom 1.888... times per days worked, as opposed to F.D.S.H.'s 1.9 times per days worked, or even A.A.'s astounding 2.231 times per days worked. As expected, to suit, D.C. only worked 9/17 days so far this month, as opposed to F.D.S.H's 10/17, and once again A.A.'s phenomenal 13/17. This follows with total times cleaning the bathroom, D.C. only cleaned the restroom 17 times this month, while F.D.S.H cleaned the restroom 19 times, and once again A.A. came out on top with 29 times total. These numbers should make two things pretty clear: #1 A.A. deserves a raise, and #2 D.C. I know things have been tough lately, but you could be the difference between a good restroom, and a GREAT restroom. Everyone does their part, so please, put in that little extra push to make your restroom GREAT.

Its hard to find decent food in remote areas. This restaurant definitely makes a good effort to provide a nice dining experience to people. Everything we ordered came in decent time and tasted good. I only need to take off one star from my review because they didn't list an important topping on their elk burger. The menu described the burger as having "Arugula, pepper jack cheese, and onion-bacon jam". Before ordering, I also asked the server specifically, if this burger contained any other condiments or sauces, and they said it didn't. However, when I received it, the onion-bacon jam was accompanied with a generous amount of mayonnaise. I can't eat mayo, which is why I asked about the sauces ahead of time, and this really annoyed me. However, the server was very apologetic and understanding, and they made a corrected burger for me right away. The burger itself tasted really good. We also had the Risotto fritter, which tasted great. I highly recommend the skillet cookie and the apple crumble for dessert. Overall a pleasant experience, with only one hiccup.

Was there for our aniversary. Wanted to have a special evening and meal. It was an absolute bust. Walked into the place and it was dark and cold, wasn't sure it was open. We were one of two dinners there. Of course they seated us right next to the other dinners. Not good. We ordered a large salad, and our two entrees were The Oscar and the Polenta with Roasted Veggies. Receved the salad and it consisted of a bowl full of salad stems with no dark green lettuce leaves. It also had candied walnuts that were so hard that I'm surprised I didn't crack a tooth eating them. The salad dressing was very watery and had zero flavor. The entrees arrived at the table and were not even luke warm. The plates that the entrees were on were ice cold. I could smell a strong fishy smell from my dish as the wattress brought it to our table. My dish had Salmon and Crab and it was definitely not fresh. I took a small taste and it was absolutely dreadful tasting and ice cold. My wife's dish consisted of lumpy, gross looking polenta with roasted veggies on top. It looked dreadful. The polenta looked like it had cottage cheese in it. The roasted veggies that were on top of the polenta looked old and very unappetizing. My wife would not even taste it.

In the meantime more dinners had arrived and they placed eveyone into a very small area on top of one another. It got loud and uncomfortable in this area. We called our waitress over and showed her our cold unappealing food and stated that it is unedible and that we will be leaving. We paid for our salad and left hungary and discouraged.

I would never recommend this place. You would think that the prices they were charging the food would at least be edible. It was absolutely not! Do not waste your time or money here. Management needs to address these serious problems. One star is too much. Definitely not...

Firstly, dear hungry vacationer, I'm aware that there is literally nowhere else to eat around here, this is it. So when you sit down and review the menu it's important to keep the fact that they have 0 competition in mind.

You're a long drive from Seattle but the prices are feeling pretty similar? You're paying for the convenience, a good atmosphere and a nice view. The food, unfortunately, is rather disappointing. In a word, bland.

Surely seasonings have made it this far west? The 12 feet of rain doesn't fall directly onto the food, come on! Why isn't there flavor?!

Nothing is bad (except the coleslaw with the fish n chips which is egregiously terrible for some reason) but nothing is really that good! It's all just... okay. I had the crab Mac n cheese, which luckily has crab because otherwise it's just a flavorless cheese pasta? My partner was very happy to see a veggie imposibeef substitute for the pub burger but apparently the chefs thought that salt, pepper and burger sauce are also replaced by the veggie patty. The thing that stood out the most in the fish n chips was the dill in the tartar sauce, which is honestly the only part you can really taste! And I almost forgot to mention the risotto starter because it didn't leave an impact!

The fries? Delicious. Caesar salad? Delicious. Skillet cookie? Delicious.

The wait time for all of those items? Pretty terrible. Were this a local neighborhood restaurant I would skip it every time, the food is just not special in any way.

Warm and homely yes of course. Timely and delicious? Sadly no :(

It was fun to experience the location and atmosphere but next time I'll opt for a camp stove and $12 of...
