You will LOVE these ribs! Not knowing what type of BBQ they do best, we decided to share the variety plate. Don't get me wrong, it was all very good, but I'll save you having to try the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place options. Order the ribs! The meat falls off the bone it's so tender. The rib sauce was wonderful! So smokey with a little vinegar taste - not the syrupy Texas style BBQ sauce. (Native Texan here, so no disrespect intended) The pulled pork is a great second choice, you will by no means be dissapointed. The brisket is very good. It's exactly what you'd expect a good brisket to be, but not one that is especially memorable. I wouldn't bother getting the BBQ chicken, we wouldn't have tried it if it had not been included. Truthfully, there was so much food that it didn't merit a second bite. After the ribs I didn't think life could get any better, but our waitress (a sweet home town native who was as precious as could be) talked us into the bread pudding. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best bread pudding I have ever had!!!!! It was divine!!! Apparently it's made by someone in town from a cherished secret family recipe. I want to marry into...
Read moreThis was a great place to stop between Little Rock and Memphis for a quick lunch. We had a party of 5 adults and 1 toddler and we all found something delicious to eat. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. It was full of meat and not too spicy and the slaw was just right, not overpowering. The baked beans were tasty too and seasoning just right on the mild side. The rest of the party enjoyed a variety of sandwiches with the Philly Cheesesteak and the French Dip receiving rave reviews. The bread pudding was everyone’s favorite part of the meal even though the servings of this delicious treat were small. We went back and ordered seconds! It was warm, sweet and creamy , perfect for a cold day .
The inside was very clean and cute. The woman taking our orders and serving was very friendly too. We will definitely stop here again. So much better...
Read moreToday I tried Delta Q for the first time. I am from Memphis and I make BBQ at home regularly. When I ago to a new BBQ restaurant I generally try the sampler platter. Nothing I tried today impressed me in any way. The brisket was more like roast. The chicken was dry and appeared to be old. The pork was dry, which is hard to do with pork, and lacked flavor. And the ribs were not even trimmed properly. I didn’t get the smoky flavor everyone expects from true southern bbq. The sides were equally disappointing. The beans tasted like they came straight from the can. In fact I think bush’s beans are better from the can. The potato salad was terrible. It had a overpowering black pepper flavor with a little mayo. I think they cooked the meat a day or two ago and kept it in a refrigerator and reheated it. Overall I have had better bbq at...
