My folks and I stopped here after visiting Fort Atkinson, and I have not done much in the town of Fort Calhoun at all. I had heard good things and had this place saved in my phone we decided to stop in and I’m super glad we did. The decor and vibe of warm, worn-in wood meets historic brick is barrel-aged to perfection. We enjoyed trying a few different beers as well as whiskeys while perusing the wares and chatting with the owner and her son who could not be more friendly and welcoming. Totally hidden gem and we will definitely be back.

Great local place with cold drinks, fun antiques and an extensive selection of beers and wines to try. The owner is super sweet and full of good suggestions for your personal taste. Highly recommended for a quick drink, a lengthy girls night or an intimate date.

Very neat building with a great history with the Metz Brothers Beer. The owner was wonderful to talk to. Great selection of local Nebraska wine and beer.

Had driven about 40 minutes to get to Ft. Calhoun so son was desperate to use a restroom. They were setting up to open in 5-10 minutes, my husband was waiting by the porch for the shop to open, son had requested to use restroom but was told he couldn't. Ended up using the restroom at the museum across the street. We'd been to the shop before for a wine tasting and the owners had been quite friendly but on this day customer service was severely lacking. We ended up not buying any...

The atmophere was great, and takes place in a building that was probably built a long time ago but was solid and well kept. It's in a building that would fit right in the Old Market as it has that same feel to it. We were there on the weekend during a taste testing (great prices too). They supplied cheese and such as well. The service was fantastic and the lady was very knowledgible. We ended up getting a bottle of desert wine...
