Myself and 3 other friends came in for lunch, they served 1 person with a hamburger right away, then served me my 3 piece chicken dinner about 5 minutes later. After 40 minutes they started to bring bring the chicken orders, another 1 in our party did get the 2 piece chicken dinner she had ordered but the last one in our party still had not been served. I went up to ask about her order an hour after the order was made and the manager on duty started yelling at the staff! Mainly yelling at the young lady who had taken the orders. She had not done anything wrong. Then the manager continued yelling at other employees and was yelling louder and louder. As customers, we felt very stressed and uncomfortable and extremely bad for the staff. None of the employees deserved to be humiliated like that, and we as customers did not deserve to be felt so uncomfortable. The place had quite a few patrons and we all were very quiet while the manager was going on his tangent. I’m just in the area for a holiday weekend, but I won’t return. Also when the 4th person in our party did get her chicken it was very over cooked and dry. She did get some free pieces of pie to take home...

I stopped here for lunch and the place was really busy, but the drive thru and counter service. After a short wait I placed my order for ½ order of hot turkey and ½ order of hot beef so I could try both. This is one of the only places I have ever seen the ½ order available, it’s a great idea.

They brought my food to my table and the first thing I noticed was the turkey sandwich not only had mashed potatoes, but it also had stuffing, all generously coated in gravy. The Turkey was tender and flavorful. It was a good portion considered it was a ½ order.

The beef came with mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef looked dry, but it tasted good. The gravy was also good tasting. If I had to say anything, the mashed potatoes needed salt, which is an easy fix table side. Other than that, this was a great meal for the money and the ½ orders are really nice to see, I wish more places had that. I will definitely be back the next time I’m...

Always liked the hot beef dinner, so hubby n I stopped there 2 wks ago. Place looked unkempt, dingy, dirty dishes still on tables long after people had left. Both ordered hot beef dinner. I ordered coffee n hubby ordered diet soda. When food came I was excited to bite into the tender beef n hot gravy - EXCEPT the beef was so tuff I could hardly cut it with a knife. (Obviously cut wrong to begin with - it was cut WITH the grain instead of AGAINST it. Possibly a cheaper cut of beef to save money.) The entire meal was not even lukewarm! My coffee was hotter than our meals!! Then as we were leaving one of the male employees had his hat sitting on TOP of his hair (can't keep hair out of anything that way!), he went into the kitchen to talk to another employee and hubby said he heard the guy talking in a "normal" voice "dropped the 'F-bomb' 3 or 4 times. If that's the way they wish to run their business, fine! WE WILL NOT BE...

Short review: I do not recommend Long review: Very expensive for what it was When I looked at their menu online, their pricing is incorrect so, when I ordered over the phone and found out the total was almost $10 more than anticipated, I was a little bit shocked Not a big deal but their website needs to be updated Their food was just eh. Bad for the price to be honest The burger is super thin and for $3.75 a piece, I should have walked a few extra steps and went to the other side of the restaurant to dairy queen (My burger is just cheese and ketchup, I'm a picky eater I know) The burger and the fries tasted like McDonald's which, conveniently is right next to there as well For double the price, you can get the same food as mcdonalds Sorry but, I definitely do not recommend

This of the highway roadside diner with fast friendly service was a highlight of my recent trip to Iowa from Minnesota. The building is kind of nondescript and run down. It looks like an abandoned fast food place. There are lots of booths to sit in and you seat yourself and order at the counter. Our food was brought to our table. It was kitschy and mismatched retro but very clean and nice updated clean restrooms. I had a breakfast sandwich. The ham on the sandwich was so good. I also had a soda and a cinnamon roll. Great place. The lunch menu looked amazing too but we had to get on the road. My travel sidekick enjoyed his meal too he had a breakfast platter and we shared a glazed donut that was the best donut I have ever eaten. The service was prompt and friendly.
