Would have given a higher rating if we hadn't had the issue we did. First off food was amazing. I was very very happy with the food. 5 star for food. Service though was the issue. When we first walked in we were greeted and asked if we had a group there. Then the waitress we had (kate or Katie if I remember right) was nice enough at first. Said hi to everyone, full of smiles, and just overall good natured. After we got our food it started to pick up in the restaurant. We'll I'm not really sure what caused it but her demeanor changed drastically. We never called her over for anything. I didn't complain when I had asked for something to be removed from my food and it wasn't. We pretty much kept to ourselves. But when we went to get her attention for checks and boxes she huffed explosively and rolled her eyes before coming over to us. Said it in the nicest way and she immediately started to try and argue with us about it and then we just ended up walking away and paying and leaving. It was great at first but the ending of dinner was...
Read moreCute little restaurant on a golf course. Menu is fantastic except the night we were there, they were out of several items... So many it became comical: examples - only half a cup of orange juice, no beer battered fries, no pulled pork (a main menu feature that comprises several dishes), only one order of crab cakes left. The waitress, while super nice, did not know what club soda or "real cheddar" cheese were. Despite my best efforts to communicate the importance of real - not processed American cheese - and being told yes 100% it's real cheese, she still brought my daughter a processed grilled cheese sandwich which she would not touch. I was a bit annoyed by having to pay for food I made very clear I knew my kid would not eat.... But such is life, sometimes people's idea of cheese are different 😬
That said, I feel like it was just an off night for them and I would go back and try eating here again. Prices were reasonable and the view of the golf course...
