BIG BOYZ BBQ — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Second time I’ve went and the wait for a simple Order such as a rib sandwich is extremely Long!!! The first time was real bad I said I wasn’t going back, but today I did go back because it’s all I know in the area so far.... but ribs are good! The portions are small, the prices online are not correct. I opened the plate and was like wow for this price that’s it? Waited a very long time for my Ribs that wasn’t even at temperature, I decided to change it up and come for lunch near opening, and it still took a extremely long time!!! I’m not sure if I came to early too early and today’s ribs wasn’t done and I was served excess from lastnight or what but for that long wait they sure didn’t just come off a grill, or either someone back there just lazy and they was not busy at all! Only Me and another customer was there no excuse for that extremely long wait in such a sketchy neighborhood like that. I didn’t make a complaint, the area and environment doesn’t look safe and I don’t have time to be going at it with someone or murdered over a rib sandwich I have things to do tomorrow.

Side note STOP BEING STINGY...

Food is above average-- wife loves the rib tips. The sides are hit or miss. The wait, space, and customer service is deplorable. There is no customer service, the lady behind the counter was abrasive, short, and rude... This is unfortunately the type of behavior we've come to expect in some black and/or jamaican restaurants (I'm black). The food is on point but be ready to fight back smh.

I work down the street and deliberately placed my order 2 hours before I got off, and still ended up waiting almost an hour. Disgruntled, yes. I was shocked to have the lady behind the counter talking back to me in a condescending and belittling manner. That was the last straw, I have not been back since.

Honestly, the restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall and needs more space and an efficient way of serving walk ups, preorders, and online orders. Food is...

I read through some mixed reviews on this place. We stopped in at 9pm. Heading back to North Ga. On speed of service they had 5 ppl on sight and 5 food service orders all out in less than 15 mins. The amount of food (lord help) we should have ordered 1 plate. We both ordered chicken and ribs plates. With potatoe salad and turnip greens (we'll get back to those). It had to be 3 lbs of meat for each plate. We don't have any BBQ places in North ga that ever impress me. This BBQ was Fire!! Perfectly cooked and that sauce was so good! 🔥 The potato salad was just potato salad. My husband loved it though. Now those Turnip greens ... were the best I believe anyone could possibly make. Just order the turnip greens! We will always be back any time we are in the area. From daytona to key west this was our favorite food...
