Pleasure of the Sea — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Food was very tasty and well seasoned. However, paud for a large snapper, felt I did not get the fish I paid for (unable to see behind the counter where the orders are prepared). To pay for a 7 inch fish (head on), and Clearly receive "3" inch fish (with head on) is a bit much. Then employee says with an "attitude", " We don't switch food". Yet, I'm waiting for my order and observe (I hear the cook) a Customer's order has been screwed up. My order has also been screwed up (paid $96++ dollars in cash). I discovered ( because I've learned to check "Carry out orders", item by item), that my order was also screwed up. The employee pleasantly apologize for that error. However, when I questioned the "NOTICEABLE" difference of the cooked size of the "Red Snapper", there was "attitude"("we don't switch food"). Maybe she didn't (the front counter employee), but the "shady cook" behind the partition does. There is not an approximately "4" inch difference in "Size" of a raw fish, once cooked. The difference in size is "CLEAR"!!

This place offers exceptional food. The cake is amazing. I personally drive from Royal Palm Beach to sunrise just to frequent this establishment. The food is always fresh and cooked to order. The people working inside are always friendly, Sometimes some of the women are less friendly, but none are rude. When I was first introduced to this establishment I was extremely skeptical based on their location and outward appearance. I still find the area and some of the people around there to be distasteful, however, if one loves fresh, great tasting Seafood, it would behoove him or her to disregard the aforementioned unpleasantness and to become a patron. If one doesn't like seafood, they have chicken if one doesn't eat meat...I recommend one indulge in slice of red velvet or...

The restaurant looked decent. The employees seemed nice but the food left much to be desired. I watched the cashier take money for orders and then proceed to grab raw food from the refrigerator with those same bare hands. Very unsanitary. My meal was simple. Lemon pepper wings and onion rings. The onion rings were reminiscent of the kind that burger king sells. Not home made at all and the wings were overcooked and barely sprinkled with lemon pepper seasoning. I asked for blue cheese and was giving a salad dressing package of blue cheese and it wasn't even cold. There was a puddle of grease beneath my chicken wings to top it off.
