Cake Lady Café is nestled on the edge of the town of Fort Lawn right off of US 21 just North of HWY 9. From the road you might miss it if you were buzzing down US 21, but I assure you it’s worth a stop if you’re traveling through or in the general area of Lancaster, Chester, or Rock Hill. The name might make you think this establishment is limited to bakery options but there’s so much more to offer for lunch! The core of their menu is handcrafted sandwiches, homemade sides and soup of the day. The sandwiches are very well portioned and robust, and taste great. You’ll definitely fill your belly with the homemade Amish bread, shaved meats, and accoutrements! Make sure to save room for dessert, because at the heart of this café is the cupcake bakery. Offering regular flavors as well as seasonal specialties, you’ll not want to miss a cupcake or dozen from here. Make sure to come early if you want your favorite flavors, as flavors sell out due to the great fanfare. You’ll have a joyful time when you stop in and sit down for a casual relaxing lunch. The staff is extremely attentive and willing to make sure that you have a great experience. At the heart of it you can tell a lot of love goes into making sure that the food served is the best quality and that the customers have the best experience. You can tell from the atmosphere that this place has its regulars who come here often to socialize with their friends and neighbors while enjoying a great affordable meal. Whether you’re local to the area, passing through, or out of the area but looking to get your cupcake craving on, come for the cake but stay for the lunch!

I stumbled across this little jewel today on my way to a sales appointment and WOW--from the metric TON of sass from all those amazing womenfolk runnin' the joint to the outstanding soup and sandwich?! I look forward to my next trip through town to try s'more of their offerings. I glutted myself on their taco soup and the STALLION sammich. It tasted like your favorite pizza smashed between two pieces of lightly-toasted, ever-so-flaky homemade Amish bread and a side of their special sauce which tastes a li'l bit like Thousand Island with a hotfoot. OOooo. I LOVE this place. Between the raucous laughter and the incredible food, it's a DON'T MISS. Tell 'em I sent you!

What an amazing place. We had wonderful sandwiches. So big I took half home. The pasta salad it came with was delicious. Oh my the desserts!!! The most delicious and unique cupcakes. The designs of the custom cakes are wonderful. The owner and staff are top notch. So kind and friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

My mom and I baked cakes as a hobby for years, after she passed away I was unable to bake cakes because it was too painful. I searched around until I found someone that made cakes that were comparable to my moms to make my kids birthday cakes, and other special occasions. We are going on around 5 years using Sherry and her cakes are phenomenal! Not only do they taste good, but she NEVER disappoints when I bring her crazy cake ideas! I have also eaten at her cafe numerous times and the food is amazing! I have already recommended her to many people and will continue to do so! Not only are her cakes and cupcakes sweet, so is she!! If you are in need of a cake, or just looking for a local business to eat lunch, you will not regret trying the...
