McDonald's — Restaurant in Fort Madison

I ordered an EGG McMuffin, I specified- I want cheese, but make sure there's no meat on there. Eighteen minutes later, along with the rest of my sandwiches, I got a slice of cheese on an English muffin. Another four minutes got my order fixed. Luckily that all added up to more time to look around at the disgusting mess. The sides of the ice machine look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. The floor in front of the soda/condiment station looks like it maybe got a mop drug over it yesterday. The door to the trash is completely missing with zero attempt to place the bin so that trash actually falls into it. Employees are yelling for food and standing waiting when they could be wiping counters and replenishing napkins. The hot mess behind the counter speaks for itself and an employee openly admitted not knowing how to get coffee from the drive through coffee pot when the pot behind the counter ran out. My husband ordered at 7:34pm was puilled forward did not get food until a little after 8pm. Got home opened my sandwhich which was a Deluxe quater pounder. The meat was half way off the bun, the cheese was half way off the meat on the other side. There was one pickle and a very tiny leaf of lettuce. If I would eat this sandwhich I would eat meat and mayo and onion on one side and cheese a little meat tomato tiny bit of lettuce and a pickle on the other side. We have given this McDonalds more than one opportunity. Each time it gets worse than before. This time we will not return to there. It is sad the people that work there make more than most people make at other jobs. I called left a detailed message and no return phone call. I used to work as a Assistant manager years ago serve people what you want to be served. This is our last visit to McDonalds...

Well what do you say about the house of Ronald McDonald? It's pretty much the standard of fast food. Quick bites, low prices, and nothing to write home about. Update 2022: Well, the bottom of the barrel is above this franchise. Ordered a hamburger plain, 27 minutes later the five person staff produced a bag and called my number. No friendly smiles, nothing you would want. Shame is being visited upon anyone who goes here. They had fruitflies in the dead of winter. The ice machine was running on its own, spewing ice whenever it chose, the rings of dried soda on countertops says that there's no management, when they dropped bags, or food they kept going as if nothing happened. And it's the owners that are where it lays. The staff seemed overwhelmed. If I had a store that was in so much trouble, I would be working til it was right....
