We had lunch at the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Saloon on a weekday in May, 2023. We visited Oatman on our Route 66 tour across the country. Truth be told we would have gone off the tour somewhat to visit this town. There are a lot of cool little tourist towns. There are some nice old western towns as well. But I can't think of any where Burros wander the streets and interact with humans. This is what brought us to Oatman. We watched the live action western show outside the hotel as part of the festivities. We decided on having lunch at the Oatman Hotel as part of the experience. Just walking in the hotel restaurant told us that this would be different. There were thousands of dollar bills stapled on top of each other all over the inside of the restaurant and bar. It was an insane amount that I'll probably never see anything like it again. The menu is mostly lighter fare like burgers and sandwiches. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. The wife had a BLT with burrow ears, which are kind of Oatman special potato chips. We actually liked the normal potato chips better that I chose. But you never know until you try them. Our sandwiches were good. And they didn't cost an arm and a leg either. No they were not cheap. But probably a fair price considering that you're kind of a captive audience in an out of the way tourist town. We also had one of the gunman from the western show join us for lunch. I think his name was Fred. Please forgive me if I got the name wrong. I'm not the best with remembering names and numbers. :) Anyway, Fred spent our lunch telling us all sorts of stories of his past, the areas past and others. We really enjoyed our time with this nice man who chose us to spend time with. We were honored. All in all, we had a really nice time having lunch in this hotel, that we never would have expected. As such, I would recommend maybe checking out the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Saloon if you're going to be in Oatman. ...

That was fine the bartender was super nice had brunette hair but afterwards we went down to the restaurant area and I made the mistake of moving 1 table to another table of 6 for my family of 10 people. This heavier set blonde came unglued that I moved a single table for my family instead of inconveniencing her of doing it for us. She yelled at me and said we do not just go around moving tables. Then said I do not come into your house and move your furniture so donāt do it here. So I moved it back and told my family looks like we will be sitting at 2 different tables. This lady continued to yell at me when I simply just walked outside because i was done being treated so poorly. I decided to take my money where it was wanted unlike this place. I believe her name was Andy someone else said her name. I was so disappointed in this place only because of her service and treating us so poorly. I just threw my beer away while the rest of my family sat at 2 different tables just to finish their beers so they didnāt go to waste and then we all left. Not to mention we were all hungry so we were gonna all order food and more drinks so a lot of money would have been spent if she didnāt scare us off. The next day my boyfriend came to use the restroom in there and she acted once again like we were an inconvenience to her by simply asking to use the restroom. This lady continues to treat people poorly and I had to write this in hopes that the owner will see this and do something about it because he is loosing money over having rude staff. Iād love to go there again as the restaurant itself was awesome but if sheās there I take my money elsewhere where it is wanted! Thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally, really good eats! Money, money, money everywhere! On the walls that is ā its there wallpaper, not an inch spared. But thatās the least of the story with the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar! Even the owners call their joint a dive, and in an extremely good way it is. This multi-room, super tight spacing with throngs of customers jammed in tight seating, a humongous fantastic looking bar, in an old as sin building is a sight to behold. Historically and metaphorically speaking it was a treasure you would not think you would find when walking in the door! Their menu is extraordinary and huge, considering I think my kitchen is bigger than theirs. The offer a deluge of offerings from good old and new breakfast repasts to Boomtown Burgers and Road Runner chicken sammiches and Burro ears, to some more than tranquilizing and refreshing drinks like Donkey Pee, Desert Death, Snake Bite and Cactus juice, or an assortment of ice-cold beer bottles and drafts. My crowd that day were moderately tame in their orders, but I went for the fantastic medium rare rendition of the Axe & Pick ā grilled mushrooms slathered on beef with onions and cheese, and it was great. The fries were also really good. The rest of the crew went for the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and the Road Runner ā a juicy grilled chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle side. Terrific! Amazingly, they offer vegetarian items too. Iām told this is the only resto in town, and by the looks of the crowd it appears to be so. So, if you are in town, itās a good idea to take you lunch early. This place is really good. Kudos to the hard-working staff, congratulations to the cramped kitchen staff, an excellent ātender/serverā, and to all who make this a...
