Me and my best friend had went to this cafe last year and completely fell in love with the vibes and the aesthetics of the place. The people were nice and from there, I knew I wanted to have my bridal brunch at this establishment. Fast forward to April/March of this year, I reach out to the Cadeau Cafe Instagram page and asked if I could have my bridal brunch at their place. It took a while for them to respond but ultimately they did. We spoke about decorating, how many girls and what date the event would be held. I assumed everything was a go. The night prior to the event, I messaged the Cadea Cafe Instagram page and stated the following :
Hello! I'm just reaching out to let you know I'll be coming by to set up for my bridesmaid brunch around 12pm. Due to scheduling conflict, the time changed so I hope you do not mind.
I have 5 girls including myself attending. I just need a table to place a table cloth, my bridesmaid proposal boxes and just make it real cute and wedding like I guess
I was left on read and I received no reply. I get to the establishment today. It was packed and there was no space ready for my girls to have the brunch. I spoke with a nice young man that I didn't catch his name. I told him that I reached out about the brunch to the Cadeau Cafe Instagram page and I received no response and if I could speak with the owner. He informed me the owner was there and would come out in a few minutes as she was busy. 10 minutes go by, the owner never came out and spoke with me or even acknowledged the confusion. Me and two of my girls went back inside and asked the young man at the counter could we rearrange the tables outside to accommodate for the 6 girls. He stated that was fine. The girls and I went outside and rearranged tables and not once did anyone come out and address us or ask if we needed anything. We even had to go back inside numerous of times to ask for menus and to order drinks for the table. The only person who was accommodating, caring and respectful was the young man who took our order, served our food and cashed out or check. I'm very disappointed with the ways things went as I was not expecting this. I even had spoke to the owner when we first came and how much she took pride in customer service but we were neglected today. I will not be recommending this cafe to anyone who is wanting to do an event at this place.
I normally don't leave bad reviews for us to be labeled as entitled is insane. I have never felt that I am better than the next person but when someone clearly makes a mistake, or there is confusion in regards to your place of business, as an owner, it's expected of them to come out and speak with the customers and clear up any type of miscommunication. I wish her place of business, the best of luck, and hope no one else has to go...
Read moreTucked away in a charming corner off of Metro Parkway, Cadeau Café is a delightful gem that transports you straight to the vibrant heart of Haiti. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the staff and the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee and spices wafting through the air.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, adorned with colorful artwork that reflects the rich culture and heritage of Haiti. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a peaceful moment alone. The music playing in the background only adds to the charm, creating a great atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.
Now, let’s talk about the food! The menu is a tantalizing journey through dishes touched with delicious Haitian flavors. We opted for the creole tacos and it was nothing short of sensational. The chicken and fish were perfectly marinated served pikliz that added just the right amount of tangy kick.
Of course, no visit would be complete without trying their coffee. The Kremas Haitian coffee is an experience in itself. Rich, bold, and beautifully brewed, it’s a must-try for any coffee lover. The Haitian lemonade was also delicious.
In a world that often feels rushed, Cadeau Café offers a warm embrace of flavors and hospitality. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Haitian cuisine or a curious newcomer, this café is a must-visit. We left with a full belly, a happy heart, and a deep appreciation for the beautiful culture that Cadeau Cafe which means GIFT brings to our community. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delightful offerings!

Read moreIt’s taking everything in me to give this place a good review. Because selfishly, I wanted to keep this hidden gem all to myself. This place is super cute and feminine and eclectic with modern furniture, but you also have you’re cute little tea time sets, and the vibes are good, just like their neon light states…it is relaxed like being in the Caribbean and you hear the smooth compa playing, the lemonade, mimosas, and their lattes are great, they have so many latte varieties. I was also very pleased with my shrimp and grits and my girlfriend’s enjoyed their meals too. Although we like to try different places, we definitely want to come back here a lot, there were enough interesting menu items that we had plenty variety to choose from, and we want to try everything. The owner is also very sweet and dedicated to growing her biz, so it’s a joy to support this small...
