Stoney’s BBQ — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

I stopped by Stoney’s BBQ in Fort Pierce, Florida early this morning, and I’m so glad I did. This was their first day serving breakfast, and you can tell the team really put care into every detail. The restaurant was spotless, comfortable, and welcoming — the kind of local spot that immediately feels like home.

I ordered the chicken and waffles and a breakfast plate with eggs, toast, grits, and sausage. Everything came out fast, hot, and incredibly fresh. The waffles had the perfect crisp edges, the chicken was golden and seasoned perfectly, and the grits were smooth and buttery. You can tell everything was made to order, not sitting under a warmer.

The staff was friendly and attentive, checking in and making sure everything was right before I could even scroll Facebook. Service like that really stands out. I’ll definitely be going back, especially to try more of the menu and see how the lunch crowd feels once word gets...

We hit Stoney’s up for lunch after a morning business meeting. BEST decision for an amazing meal, potential bad decision for business because the ‘itis was real and little work was done after.

I knew it was gonna be good when I parked next to the smoker outside but the meat was better than expected. Couldn’t decide between the ribs or chicken but the menu had me covered, went with both and neither disappointed. If I was forced to pick a winner, I’d go ribs.

My brain was twisted in a pretzel trying to pick two sides because there was about six that I wanted but the chances of me sneaking onto my 6pm flight out of town with left overs would be slim. I went with the collard greens and Mac and cheese. Portions were huge. The collard greens were on point and came out perfect. BOOM💥!

The BBQ sauce was tangy with a hint of sweetness that balanced out the rich, savory meat. The yams were like dessert on the dinner plate!
