I went in for carry out and specifically ordered my meal with no onions. I waited on the food and then I came all the way home and realized after getting into the meal that it was loaded with onions. I called and they offered to remake my order the right way and told me to make sure I bring in the other one when I pick up the new one( not sure why they wanted my picked through nachos) but I brought the half eaten Nachos back in And picked up my re-order. Got all the way home again and it did not have onions on it, but it had a ton of other things on it that I did not order. At this point, I was not gonna go back so we called and they told me that they would give me a credit for my nachos and come back some other time. I just got off the phone with the manager for Fernando And told him who I was, and then I was gonna come and pick up my nachos tonight since I had a credit and he scolded me because he said that I ate almost all of the original one and then re-ordered. There is absolutely no truth to that, but he did say he would make me another one tonight, and I told him to forget it. I explained to him that I don’t need a free $13 meal. It was just the point that I drove to his establishment twice and they screwed up the order both times. As a fellow business owner here in Fort Wayne, I do not treat people that way and I would never make a customer feel bad because they didn’t get something And I didn’t want to remake it for them. I can assure you I am in no way desperate for a free meal! There are so many great Mexican places in town, jalapeños just happened to be the closest one To my home. I will never be back to eat...

Americanized Mexican food in an enjoyable ambiance. Quick service and a good variety of options on the menu. Cash & credit card payments accepted.

Not Tex-Mex, but definitely Americanized Mexican food (lots of cheese, large portions, etc.). I ordered the Arroz Mexicano off of their lunch menu and was stunned at the size of the plate. A ton of Mexican rice, covered in grilled steak (chicken is another option) and veggies including slices of fresh jalapenos. The menu indicated it was spicy but it really didn't have much heat. The jalapenos could have been charred a little longer and the steak could have been grilled a little less. The overall effect was quite tasty though rather generic. Served with corn or flour tortillas. Essentially like a less fancy version of fajitas with a lot of rice.

Complimentary chips & salsa before the meal (as it should be!). Chips were warm, large, and very crisp. Lightly salted. I was impressed with the heat level of the salsa. There's a charge if you want a refill on the chips & salsa but it's certainly enough in the first serving for two people to enjoy.

Ambiance is nice. They've put some money into the decor - wall murals, booth seats embroidered with the restaurant name and logo. I was also pleasantly surprised by some of the tequila and mezcal offerings they had - including some pricier options for better flavor. I'm sure it's a rockin' place later in the evening but it was very quiet post lunch-rush.

Overall this was a good experience. I'd go back to explore the...

Our office was so excited to celebrate one of our employees getting married. We called ahead of time to let Jalapenos know the size of our party and time of arrival. With wide eyes, hungry stomachs, and big smiles, we entered Jalapenos. Our experience started off pretty well. We were seated immediately with chips and salsa following suit. To everyone's surprise, we were suddenly stranded. Our server had abandoned us. We had to hunt down our server multiple times to order our food, order more drinks, and to pay. Mind you, we went on a Tuesday at 5PM. Not busy at all. When it came to paying the tab, our waitress never mentioned that 20% tip was already included. By our good nature, we went ahead and tipped them 20% on a $400 tab, even though our server dropped the ball several times. Once we got back to our office Thursday morning we noticed the mistake. Jalapenos already included a 20% gratuity without every informing us. We called Jalapenos and the employee handling our case was rude. He told us we should have read the receipt more carefully. I am sorry, but if gratuity is added, the server always informs the customer at some point during their stay. Not once was this mentioned. We were not reimbursed, compensated, or even given an apology. Sorry Jalapenos, we will not be returning and will be sure to let everyone know to not visit...

They were very accommodating of our family Sunday dinner for 10. We each tried something different off the menu. There was something for everyone (my daughter-in-law the pescatarian, my son-in-law who doesn't eat pork for religious reasons, my wife who can't tolerate spicy foods, my daughter who believes "the hotter the better", my grandbaby who only eats chicken and the rest of us somewhere in betweeners). Our server recommended the Chipotle Burrito, so that's what I ordered. And it did NOT disappoint. It had just enough heat to warm the mouth and throat but not enough to burn the tongue. Well played Jalapeños. I regret I have no pics, but I am sure we will be back soon. I will post photos then. Until then, buen provecho!

This was a great fine and unexpected in this area. As we awaited our group to play frisbee golf some chips and salsa sounded good. They're guacamole was out of this world. Thanks so much for a great snack!! The atmosphere and the decor in this Mexican restaurant was the best we have ever seen. Each booth had their name in embroidered. It was stunning. I appreciate the level of design art and beauty that was instilled in this place of business. Highly recommend!
