We ordered Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice - with extra teriyaki sauce. We had never been to Kyoto so we walked in to look and order. The lady at the counter was helpful and friendly, and the shop is clean and simple with 3 small tables if you want to eat in. Tables are 2 person size. The order was prepared fresh and we were out in under 10 minutes. The meal was very good. Expect every Japanese restaurant to be just a little different - different cooks, different tastes - but we liked it. It's what we expect to get from a Japanese restaurant. We did order extra teriyaki sauce and my wife won't do that next time. It was just right for me. It's interesting that the business next door is the Bamboo Garden - Chinese fare. There is a worker door between the two restaurants and I noticed a large pot of rice going from Kyoto to Bamboo Garden. Owned by the same folks? I don't know. But since they both serve large quantities of rice, sharing a rice cooker is totally logical. We'll be going to Kyoto for carry out when the urge arises. And I suspect an alliance between Kyoto and Bamboo Garden so that restaurant is also on our list when the want for Chinese...

My mom and i tried it out today and Diya was delightful! She was very friendly and has a beautiful accent! I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and my mom ordered the Teriyaki vegetables. She got her Teriyaki sauce on the side and spice. We were able to add our own level of spice onto our dishes which we liked. We also got a plate of just noodles on the side that mom absolutely loved Mom gives a 4.5/5 for the noodles and vegetables when combined. The side salad that came with it was very refreshing! The tonkotau ramen in my opinion was mid(disappointing).. Ive had better. It was milky but it lacked that rich flavor you liok for in a tonkotsu broth. I typically finish the broth but i just couldnt with this one. At least they were genrous with the toppings and the chashu which i greatly appreciated. Not many places are willing to give out multiple large pieces of meat like that. 3/5. For all we got, we paid around $26 and it all filled us up. So id recommend this shop because it was cheap and an overall pleasant experience. The food is good overall and may jusy...

My wife and 5 kids decided to check the place out since we were in the area today. We frequently go to Koto snd Sapporo snd have been hearing very good things about Kyoto. We got one steak hibachi lunch and 3 shrimp hibachi lunches. The steak and shrimp were fantastic! The fried rice lacked a little flavor (Im being very picky) but if you add the sauce they give you it tastes amazing. If we would have purchased the same meals at Koto, the price would have been over 100 dollars. At Kyoto it cost 35. Was the steak and rice as good as Koto or Sapporo? Mmmmmm not quite, but its definitely compareable and costs much much less. It's affordable, quick, has fantastic service, great portions, and tastes great. If the prices stay the same they earned 7 frequent customers with my...

I checked it out with my friend for dinner. Seat for 20 people tops. 2 people said it was good as I waited for my friend. Especially the clear soup. It was chilly Indiana day. My friend got the ramen and I got the habachi. Our food was super good. The ramen was delicious. My only flaw I found was pictures of bubble tea but it was in cans and not real boba. Looks like really good carry-out. Next time I might do that. My food was really good. The presentation was great. I would wish Bambu could send some taru that way and I would be a happy camper. Good food for NE fort Wayne. I could do it again. It was reasonable priced. I would come back for sushi or the hibachi

I came here for lunch with my mom after our typical go to sushi place was closed. The sushi here is SO good and so much more convenient. I got the black diamond roll and the tempura sweet potato roll. Both were delicious and I have half left over for lunch tomorrow. My mom got the long beach roll, which has mango on it, and it is TO DIE for. The pricing is more cost effective here, and you most definitely do not lose quality in turn for the better price. Kyoto is a new favorite for sure, and will most likely be a weekly staple from now. No doubt this is our new go to sushi.
