Lakeside Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!! Do not judge a restaurant by its outside building appearance because I almost did and I would have missed out completely!!!

I am not from Fort Wayne, but my wife is and we decided to stop here on the way home, and when I tell you I was blown away by the outstanding professionalism, friendliness & impeccable customer service, it made the food which was a 10/10 even better!!

We ordered the Steak Omelette with Home Fries & Pancakes, and also the French Toast Platter!

Everything was cooked exactly how we desired and the portion size was pretty good also! The Omelette appeared to have atleast 2-3 eggs and there was plenty of steak! It also came with a side of 4 pancakes! The French Toast Platter came with 2 full pieces of bread cut into havoc slices, about 3 eggs, sausage links or patties or bacon of your choice; I chose the sausage patties and they were pretty good! I would absolutely recommend this place for ALL breakfast lovers; just be sure to come early because this is the place to be and it is EXTREMELY Busy!

We had a great experience here. We had just come from a funeral and arrived with a party of 15 people around noon time. Even though they were fairly busy, they were still able to move together enough tables to accommodate everyone. Our server was top notch, she quickly got us our drinks and even put pitchers of ice water on the table so we would have plenty to drink. She then methodically went around the table taking all of our orders and quickly returned with sides, salads and add ons. It wasn't long before our entrees arrived and she displayed a keen memory as to who ordered what dish. She constantly attended to our needs such as condiments, additional sauces and such simultaneously clearing empty plates and dishes so we had plenty of elbow room. All in all, the staff made us feel welcome with friendly upbeat service, especially given that we were such a large party.
