Mama Mia's Pizza -St Joe — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Me and my husband are regular customers, we come here all the time because it’s so good! We came here last night and ordered 2 pizzas and breadsticks with cheese, our breadsticks still looked a little doughy. I called the store back to see if I could bring the breadsticks back and get them replaced with another order. The guy said I could BUT they will look the same because they are pre cooked. I proceeded to tell him that I’m not gonna feed those to my kids and that I have never gotten bread sticks that were like that, they were always done. He proceeded to get an attitude with me saying the same thing, they come pre cooked, all our food comes pre cooked. So basically he was calling me a liar, and the fact he told us that all the food comes pre cooked is gross! I used to work in fast food so I know how it is when someone is lying and trying to get free food but I wasn’t trying to get free food nor my money back for the breadsticks or my whole order for that matter, I was willing to bring my breadsticks back so I can just get them replaced. My husband got mad because he was getting an attitude with me, I wasn’t even going to bother coming back because he was getting an attitude and I wasn’t going to argue over some breadsticks that cost $2.75 but my husband wanted to go there and get our money back for the breadsticks, my husband also found a hair in his pizza that was hanging out of the crust, we lost our appetite and 2 large pizzas was all a waste of money! It’s sad that someone wanted to argue over $2.75 worth of food. Me and my husband will no longer go back here and I will also tell everyone I know not to go...

Pizza joint. Take out and delivery only - no on-site dining. Cash & credit cards accepted. Incredibly friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. Prompt service.

With the high ratings this place has racked up, I have to say I was more than a little disappointed in the pepperoni/sausage pizza and breadstick take-out combo I opted for. Breadsticks were adorned - just plain sticks of bread without butter, garlic, salt, anything. Small side cup of what looked like melted cheddar cheese. Or possibly cheese whiz. I didn't find out. Pizza crust (closer to thin-crust than not) was good and crisp. Sauce was slightly sweeter than I like. Pepperoni and sausage was plentiful, just not much flavor to it all.

The guys manning the shop were very friendly though, and it's nice to meet folks who can do more than grunt a response when you place an order.

Maybe this particular style of pizza caters to a local taste culture I'm not aware of, but it didn't do...

Date : today/2025 from 8 years ago from now this place used to be great I am now changing that review to a one star unfortunately this is due to the employees attitude with how they answer the phone and everything else I also have gone into the store and have felt that it has changed a lot I get it I no longer feel the joy that I used to have in this place 8 years ago the manager and his wife are lovely to deal with however the employees that's a big no making his place look bad leave your attitudes at home I hope they do better but I think this would be the last time I come in and step on the property as it does not feel like welcoming anymore like I did 8 years ago sadly I will be taking my business somewhere else I hope the owners read this but the way your employees are acting is very unprofessional I'm sorry you guys are going through a hard time and I hope you guys do better like you did 8 years...
