We wanted Mexican food but with it being a late Sunday afternoon our first two options were already closed for the day. Arrieros was what popped up on Google maps as being the closest to us and it was open. Because of all the cars we decided to take a chance on it. Boy, we were glad we did! The salsa was superb with a good flavor of tomato, seasonings and a perfect kick. Spicy but still taste the flavors! I had the beef chimicunga and my husband had the cheese enchiladas. The rice and beans were very much homemade and served with huge portions. My chimicunga came piping hot just out of the deep frier. Very nicely deep fried and wonderfully crispy! I spend a lot of time in Mexico, and this place made me feel like I was back in a quiet little town in the countryside or sitting on a patio on the beautiful streets of Monterey, which incidentally is where the family is from. Mexican food just doesn't get better than...
