Lupitas — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Visited this town because i needed to go to the dmv. After searching the area for some good authentic Mexican food, lupitas looked like the place to go. Reviews said their burritos were amazing. Well I show up and the open sign was lit up, lights were on, and judging from the steam coming from the food it looked like the food was ready. I go up to the door...locked. I walk back to my truck. Minutes later a guy drives up and walks to the door. Finding its locked he stands there and the man inside let's him in and sells him food. The guy leaves and I walk to the door....it's locked again! I wiggle the handle and the man inside finally shows himself and signals me to go around to the drive through. Like dude I literally saw you let this other guy in. Must have been a regular or something. I actually keep my truck clean and done eat inside it so I'm not about to go to the drive through and eat in my truck. If you're gonna be drive through only then display that or turn off your open sign. Don't pick and choose who you let in while you let others stand in the cold only to tell them to go through...

This was a 5 star place and it’s going downhill fast. Also if you state that you close at 3pm then close at 3 pm not 2:40 as it’s been happening quite often or change your times to reflect the actual closing time.

And to your response I understand that hat sir and respect it as it is your business and you can run it as you wish. However as an owner just please take ownership of what you state that you will be open for. Meaning if you say you close at 3 than close at 3 and stay extra 30 minutes to finish your cleaning tasks. I love little mom & pop places like this. When you walk in, it seriously feels like walking into grandma's kitchen back in the day. You could tell they take pride in their place of business.

The restaurant was clean. The cook was polite. The lady who took our order was super sweet and even made us feel like we just came home to mom or grandma's house.

My husband and I got the chorizo, egg, cheese, & potato breakfast burrito. The food was so fresh and delicious. It wasn't overcooked, and it was very flavorful.

Highly recommend trying this place. We don't live out here, but we'll be back when we are...
