Dog Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Extremely disappointing experience. Took a very long time to receive part of our order, the rest came a good 15-20min after (my young sons meal, the waitress said someone else took his food). My husbands burger which he ordered medium arrived bleeding, he waited and waited for a waitress to be available to talk to but eventually had to go ask to order one that was cooked, which was met with nasty attitude from the waitress. Our whole family finished our meal and another 20-30 min passed when my husband again walked up and just asked to pay for our food and cancel his burger since it obviously wasn’t coming. The waitress took his card and explained she was charging him for the burger he didn’t eat when he questioned this other waitresses berated him for ordering it. He asked to speak to a manager meanwhile the waitress went and charged his card anyway before we could dispute the charge with the manager. When the manager finally arrived he informed us the card was charged and he would not be removing anything from the bill, my husband told him that was not ok and the manager said he would call the authorities if he didn’t leave. Tried to track down the owner via phone and the other store we were told they were in, to no avail. My bank shows a charge, I have no receipt and my husband still never got to eat dinner. As someone from a small town I was appalled at the unprofessional treatment we received but I should have read the most recent reviews and I wouldn’t have been surprised. Sat down with a group of 6 at 12:45 , ordered drinks, then lunch after maybe 10/15 mins - food arrived at 1:50pm and was cold - complained, owner said it "wasn't cold", delivered promptly??? ... offered to replace meals, but we didn't want another wait ... added gratuity to all our bills despite menu saying parties of 8 or more would have their gratuity added ... when I declined to pay gratuity as food was cold, co-owner behind bar threatened to press charges/sue me - "had my photo on file" - I should have laughed, but for a few bucks wasn't worth getting into a battle ... the other owner, when this was related to her, denied he'd ever say that, then reconfirmed our food "wasn't cold" ... terrible customer service - both the food & then not taking responsibility for the situation - I've taken many tours there over the years, but will now avoid it like the plague, and suggest you do - they have a real attitude problem to respecting their...

The food was very good; however, the portions were far too small for the price of ea. Meal. I as well as my husband ordered the French Dip and it was nearly $11per meal and we were starving an hr. Later.... And we are not big eaters. In addition to that, I couldn't believe the atmosphere. We've lived in this county all of our lives. This place used to be fun... live bands & dancing along with the dogs ALWAYS welcome patrons; hence the name: ) but unfortunately it was no better than any bar & grill; which is a tragedy for this place. Too many teen girls as waitresses and we sat next to a table where a napkin and a lime slice on the floor and it was obviously visable to anyone, yet therr it remained. Tourists coming is always a wonderful thing for our community; but you can't be like everything else- stand out for EVERYONE.... have a place where we all can drink [responsibly of course] and dance. That's what I was expecting along with my company, and it was just not what we drove 20miles for....
