The stars here are for the service. The food deserves 5. It's great food and the owner is so great. The servers however have really made it so we dont want to come back. When we 1st got there the lady asked "oh did u want a menu?"... well yeah we kinda need to know what there is to order.

There were 5 of us at an 8 top. She was so focused on moving the extra menu and napkins she cornered another lady who was standing by out table chatting with us and the woman literally tripped and almost fell backward! Good thing she hit the wall or she would have been on her behind!

Then after bringing our food, the server never came back. Never got refill on a drink, hows your food, is there anything you need? We got nothing.

So We had to go and seek out someone for boxes and the check. And when she brought them we asked what happen to our server? Her reply was "oh, she left." However we could see her standing there by the register!? So we point out that she is right there. Then the server says oh well we are busy and all over and walks off. The thing about that is we have been there when every table was full, inside Nd on the patio with several people coming to get orders and we have had great service. Tonight the place was less than 50% full!?

What happen to the good servers!?

They also have a 4% fee for using card. Which is new and sucks. All because they changed who they use to process your card.

Like I said, food was and always has been good. But until the service can improve sad to say we...

After a fascinating 2-hour tour at Arcosanti with our friends, stumbling upon this fantastic Mexican food spot was a delightful surprise. The location is convenient, situated close to Arcosanti. However, we did find the parking situation a tad crowded during our weekend visit at noon.

The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the food. The Mexican cuisine here is as authentic as it gets, complete with homemade sauces that elevate every dish to new heights. A friendly waitress shared that the restaurant has proudly been serving for over a decade, a testament to their commitment to quality and flavor.

When it came to drinks, we naturally couldn't resist trying the renowned rice-based Horchata. It lived up to its reputation, delivering a refreshing and flavorful experience.

For our entrees, we opted for a mix of tacos and burritos. The sauces drizzled over them were an explosion of freshness and authentic spices, transporting our taste buds straight to the heart of Mexico.

The decor is a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture, radiating an exotic and playful ambiance. From the tables to the chairs, every corner is adorned with distinctive Mexican elements that transport you to a lively fiesta. The walls are a canvas of captivating Mexican-inspired art and decor, further immersing you in the rich tapestry of this wonderful cuisine.

We enjoyed our dishes and experience at this low-key restaurant and hope you would have a wonderful...

My fiance, daughter and I are from Phoenix, AZ and we decided to take an anniversary trip up to Sedona and we stopped here to grab a quick lunch. The inside was very clean, colorful, and welcoming; although very small, which is to be expected from a small town restaurant. However, the food was fantastic! The pastor tacos and carne asada were flavorful and tender. A lot of times here in Phoenix, the meat can taste chewy, old, and flavorless so having El Patio was such a wonderful treat. The salsa was AMAZING. The food tastes like it was made with passion and by people who really care about the flavor and quality of food. My father is from southern mexico and the food reminded me much of his home cooking.

Overall, my family and I loved it! We may just have to take a drive back up north just to revisit. I highly recommend this hidden jewel for anyone who enjoys flavorful AUTHENTIC Mexican food. If you're more of the Taco Bell loving Dell Taco type, this place is WAY too good for you. Keep up the good...

My experience was good, there's potential; but definitely room for improvement. Their house salsa is delicious & has the perfect kick 🌶️ and I love that they sell it in different sizes to go! They also have an impressive list of tequilas. I would've loved to try their desserts, but I got there within an hour of closing so by the time I finished my entree they weren't willing/able to serve dessert. I was definitely disappointed about that. The carne asada was pretty good but I wish it was cut into smaller pieces so that I could take bites from my tacos without trying to rip the steak apart from the rest of the taco. I was really not a fan of the rice. The little dehydrated veggies in the rice gave me "Cup Noodles" instant lunch vibes 😅 A few small adjustments I think would go a long way to improve satisfaction. I would certainly go back again, but with slightly lower expectations.

This is a cute little family-owned Mexican restaurant that's just off US 17. They have the regular dining room and an enclosed patio area. They were replacing the portable AC unit on the patio while we were there, so it's cooled, as well. It's a bit of a tight fit, but the staff is welcoming and friendly, and we were seated right away. The margaritas are awesome, too! The food was good, and they can accommodate some allergies when making your food. The parking lot can fit about 10 or so cars and is shared with the Conoco gas station next to it.

Finding this hidden (but not hidden) gem was such a treat! One of those happy accidents that I'm happy to repeat and I almost didn't want to share because I don't ever want this cute little place too crowded to hinder future visits. Lol! The place is adorable, the food is delicious and they make some tasty margaritas. Patio seating is available too. If you're passing by on I17 and want a meal that will make your belly happy and you enjoy service with a smile, this little place is a great experience.
