If you're at the North Rim and you need a bite and/or a beer after taking in the iconic views nearby, the Roughrider Saloon is worth a stop. Decent beer selection, plenty of cocktail choices and a slice of pie. Being that you are around 50-miles from civilization, it's easy to understand that two draft beers and two slices of pepperoni pizza are going to cost you 35-bucks with a tip. The pie is okay, but i'm a NY or Chicago style lover, so keep your expectations low. The staff was pleasant and a decent enough atmosphere. Not the type of place you and a bunch of Friends would be hanging out at for hours, but worth a stop for an adult beverage. Keep in mind that the nearby choices are much more costly or there is the drive to Jacob Lake Inn about an hour up 67. If you are an avid hiker and like to get started early, they do open a the ungodly hour of 530am. Gets yourself a breakfast bagel and hit the trail!

Friendly bartenders and very quick and personable service. Decent selection of local beers and drinks. I had the prickly pear mule on one visit and had a Piehole Porter to go with my elk chili on another visit and was very satisfied both timed. I'd highly recommend getting food from Deli in the Pines and drinks from here over lunch or dinner in the main dining room, which has disappointed me on multiple occasions.

Margarita was the worst I ever had. It was tasteless, diluted with water. Also it was served in a plastic cup, which I think is ridiculous for a National Park.
