This place came recommended from a former Arizonian and was described as more authentic Mexican. After living in Tucson for a couple year, I was excited to try it out. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza adjacent to Safeway. The interior decor looks like your typical Mexican restaurant. It's colorful and festive with lively, though a little too loud for my liking, music. The exterior patio is nice, though parking lot adjacent. You can see glimpses of the Mountain through the trees.

The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking on us often, though we never felt rushed. The food came out quickly. Portion sizes were large and priced fairly. The reason I only gave three stars though, was because I found all the food (salsa and guacamole excluded) bland. The cheese enchiladas didn't have any spice, including the red chili sauce, and both the rice and refried beans were bland. Maybe it's my Americanized taste buds wanting everything to be saltier, but I found myself wishing there was a salt shaker on the table to make it more palatable.

I order a strawberry margarita, and I would have sworn there was no tequila in it. It tasted like water down mixer. That was probably the biggest disappointment of the meal because a good margarita can make just okay food taste better. And the queso dip, while good, tasted like jarred Tostitos dip instead of the white queso that I've come to associate with most Mexican restaurants. My husband said his enchiladas were "just okay," which I think perfectly sums up how I feel about the food.

I'm tempted to think maybe this was just an off-night for the kitchen given all the other positive reviews, but with so many other dining options in the area, not sure if/when we will make it back to give it a...

This staff was very rude and I’m sure this review will be ignored based off what the “manager” told us. We were seated by the hostess and then proceeded to wait for 20 minutes for no one to come help us. When we asked someone if we could order, they said there was a wait list for people to be seated. When we talked with the hostess she said she would find the manager. She went passed the “manager” to the kitchen for a couple minutes then came out to the “manager” and talked with her. The manager came up to us and did not let us give a chance to say anything before she said that there was a wait list that we needed to be on. She then said that everyone on the waitlist got there before us and this was the very first time that she had talked with us. The hostess left to the kitchen so that we could not ask her to verify she seated us. The “manager” would interrupt us every time we tried to talk and claimed we were lying about being seated already. She said she did not have time to talk to us. She then said it did not matter that we were there, before the people on the waitlist, and that we had to wait for everyone else to get seated first. Based on these interactions, I highly doubt any reviews would create change in this restaurant and how they...

Good food and generous portions but overall vibe diminished by some of the cost cutting & nickel & diming.

Ate on the perfectly okay patio. No physical menus. The 3 x 3" QR codes they provide kept blowing away & 2 out of 4 tables just gave up on trying to chase them down or to get the web menu to load so very patient wait staff had to explain the options. My initial impression was how this huge investment of staff time was more than voiding the savings of not having a printed menu. Then as a waitress explained the yummy options, I was amazed how many had upcharges. Want mushrooms & spinach -- both extra. Want to change to green chili instead of another sauce -- that's extra too. It was almost comical the number of "extras" quoted to the table next to us. We ordered right off the menu, so no extras until we went to pay & notice an extra about 2% added to the amount charged on our card compared to our table receipt. No explanation given, so we guessed they passed the credit card fees onto the customer. Or maybe we paid a patio fee? Who knows. All the extra charges got a little old & not sure it's worth a...

My partner and I went here when our original brunch plans turned out to be unfeasible (the closest brunch place had around a 35 min wait so we decided to see what was around). We came here expecting to have some nice Mexican food for brunch and let me tell you, it was ABOVE AND BEYOND. First off, we were the only people at the restaurant at the time since we came around opening so it was very easy to hold a conversation. The servers were all kind and attentive, and the food was SUBLIME. I wish I had taken a picture before I started eating, but I got their Huevos a la Mexicana and added lettuce and steak and WOW. Whatever they are doing to tenderize and season the meat is out of this world!! Beyond that, if you stick to the menu and don’t get bold like I did by adding in tons of extra stuff it’s super affordable and great quality. Best Mexican food we have had around Broomfield, we both cannot wait to come back here again :)

We stopped here for lunch after seeing the good reviews. The lone gentleman working was very busy, but still made us feel welcome. We ordered a couple of margaritas (8/10), chips and salsa (6.5/10), and the enchiladas ranchera (8/10) and combo plate w/ cheese enchilada (5/10), beef flautas (8/10) and chile relleno (7/10). Even the rice and beans were superior to those at most places we’ve been to in the area. The most notable thing, though, is the amount of food. Our dishes came out on plates that were much larger than usual. Each could have easily served two people, so we had a lot of leftovers. All in all, this is now one of our favorite Mexican restaurants around. Good food, huge portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service - a rare combo for the Boulder area.
