This evening we went out for our anniversary dinner, made a reservation, got there early they had a table for us- we sat down the table was sticky and covered in food debris. We asked if it could please be cleaned off and they did do that after about 10 mins. We ordered our appetizer, it took probably an hour for that. When they brought out our main course ( filet mignon and prime rib) two expensive menu items they were both over cooked and COLD. We were told for his dinner there wasn’t any more baked potatoes, we usually aren’t complainers but did tell our waitress about our food when she asked (we were polite about it as she was kind to us) - they brought out new food mine was still over cooked, and Luke warm, still didn’t come with Au jus, he got a baked potato (FUNNY BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY DIDN’T HAVE ANY). We asked for our check, and it was brought. We waited over 20 minutes for our change so we could tip her and the other wait staff. THEY NEVER BROUGHT OUR CHANGE. We went inside, asked the manager for a minute of his time because we had a very poor experience and we really liked this restaurant. We had told him we hadn’t received our change and had a poor experience he said and I quote “Well, I sent you out new food didn’t I?” Yes sir you did and we thank you for that however, that doesn’t make up for the fact that we didn’t get our change and our experience keeps getting even more soured. He didn’t try to make it right, he didn’t apologize for the poor experience, we even told him our waitress was great even though she didn’t return with our change. We are typically non-complainers. We exceptionally well, we are always gracious and thankful. However we are very disappointed, not to mention angry and...
Read moreWe decided to travel to Allegheny Grille to celebrate our two year anniversary of opening our small business. We had visited before when it was Foxburg Inn and didn't have a good experience. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was very kind. We got our appetizer very fast, it was stuffed banana peppers. We like a little heat, but these were super hot, so we took got them wrapped to share with someone at home. We waited for an hour for our food until we asked someone where our food was. He came back and told us it would be out soon. Ten minutes later, it came out and wasn't exactly the way we ordered it. But at that point, we had to leave soon, so we ate it. We got crusted haddock and sliced Turkey. Everything was very good. They apologized and offered to buy us dessert, but a that point we were so irritated that we told them this was the second bad experience and that we probably wouldn't be back. They then came back to our table and told us that they were going to pick up the tab and apologized again. We told them that we wanted to pay for our meal, that we weren't looking to get a free meal, and we asked if it was typical to wait this long for your meal. They told us it wasn't and that there was a mistake in the kitchen. They apologized again and gave us a gift card and invited us to come back again. I was COMPLETELY impressed!!! Comping our meal was the right thing to do, giving us a gift certificate was above and beyond what they needed to do. But most of all handling the situation with INTEGRITY was amazing to me. The fact that they were able to say that there was a mistake was more important to me than a free meal, and we will definitely be back and recommend ...
Read moreHow cheap can this place be!!?? On an $83, they charged me a "Supplemental Fee" of 3%!! $2.31 was added to my bill because I used my debit card. How cheap can you possibly be? The Allegheny Grille has gone down hill. We ate there last night, 7/11/25.The carpets are sticky when you walk on them, that's not a good sign! The server was excellent. The Artichoke appetizer was excellent but they put it on the wrong bill. The salads were nice but it's really hard to mess up a salad. The Blue Moon beer I had was warm! The shrimp and sausage pasta dish, which was recommended, was horrible. Gummy, over cooked pasta with ZERO flavor, served with burned sausage slices and tough shrimp. The toasted bread slice that came with it was soggy. My wife had a pasta dish with penne pasta. It had some other pasta mixed in with it and she wondered if they had gotten it from someone else's plate. She also said hers was over cooked and gummy with no taste and the shrimp were tough. I stayed away from this place for a few years after getting a bowl of mussels that had way too much salt in it. That was a shame because they used to have the best Mussels in garlic sauce. My father had the haddock and sweet potatoe fries, fish was over cooked, and so were the fries. He said they tasted burned and there was no flavor to anything. It seems they bread and deep fry everything, way too long, and no spices. I guess if you bread everything and deep fry it, it will cover up the fact that the food is horrible. Prices overall would have been fine - IF - the food had been good, - it wasn't. Big mistake going back. Never...
