Zheng Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Framingham

Moved to Framingham 2 years ago and until I discovered Zheng Garden I found the other Chinese food restraints ok but not outstanding. I was at Gianni's pizza waiting for my order, went outside and saw all the people going in and out of Zheng's which is kinda hidden down towards the end of the strip mall , went over and asked some of the people who were picking up their orders what they liked there and what the they thought was the better dishes. I asked and the 5 or so separate people all said "everything is good!" Very unusual to have all of them say that. Took a chance and ordered Christmas Eve for a group of friends coming(15 people)by for the evening. EVERYONE of the people who were at my house said that from the many appetizers, soups and main dishes that they were ALL delicious and we are talking about a picky crowd! So excited I found Zheng! A couple years ago, before Covid I tried some take out from there and most of it (the veggies) was just too tough to eat, not cooked enough and very hard to chew. I thought I would give it another chance just recently and ordered fried rice, Beef Teriaki and Pork Strips. They served me Barbecued Spare Ribs instead of Pork Strips but I let it go and accepted it anyway. As soon as I got home I ate what I could. The beef was not great but it was edible. The spare ribs were tough as shoe leather, completely inedible. So I went back the next day to explain how bad the ribs were. Brought them back in their container with the receipt. The owner or manager gave me quite an argument because he said I accepted them at the restaurant, which I did, and I explained that I did not try to eat them till I got home. He continued to argue and I got more upset that he seemed to be insisting I should pay for inedible "food". Finally he gave me the refund I demanded. Never again will I go back to...
