I finally made it to 206 Firehouse after hearing so many good things, and I’ve got to say—it lived up to the hype. Walking in, you can tell it’s one of those spots where the food isn’t just “made,” it’s cared for. There’s a warm, local feel, the kind of place you can tell people come back to again and again.
Let me talk about the food, because that’s where this place shines. The eggs—wow. I don’t know how they do them, but they were absolutely perfect. Fluffy, rich, cooked just right, not overdone, not underdone. I honestly wasn’t expecting to get excited about eggs, but they were the standout part of the whole meal and I’ll be coming back just for those.
I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese with salt, pepper, and ketchup. Now, here’s where I’ll take the blame—I forgot to ask for the bagel toasted. Normally that would bug me, because I really like that crunch with the sandwich, but even untoasted, the bagel itself was excellent. Fresh, soft, full of flavor, the kind you don’t need to hide behind toasting or toppings. That alone says a lot, because most places can’t pull that off. So instead of being annoyed, I actually found myself impressed.
The coffee is self-serve, which is fine, but I’ll be honest—I think this place could absolutely take things up a notch with a cappuccino machine. If they added some lattes or cappuccinos with a couple flavored syrups, they’d clean up. There really aren’t any good coffee shops around here, and people (myself included) would happily pay the upcharge for something like that. It’s just an idea, but one I think would really add to what’s already a great setup.
And I’ve got to give credit to the service, too. The woman at the counter was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and really helpful. You can tell she knows her stuff and cares about the customers. That kind of attitude makes a big difference in a small spot like this, and honestly, she deserves a raise for how well she handles things.
All in all, I walked out more than satisfied. Great food, excellent service, and the kind of place I’ll be back to again and again. Five stars...
Read moreI recently discovered this sandwich spot, and I’m so glad I did! The menu is packed with fresh, flavorful options—from classic turkey clubs to creative signature sandwiches that you won’t find anywhere else. I tried the Italian Delight, and it was exactly that—a delight! Packed with layers of perfectly seasoned meats, melty cheese, fresh veggies, and a drizzle of tangy vinaigrette, all nestled in freshly baked bread—it was bursting with flavor in every bite.
What really stands out is the quality of the ingredients. You can tell everything is made fresh daily—from the bread to the veggies to the homemade spreads. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even during the lunch rush.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a casual meal, this place hits the spot. Definitely coming back...
