My wife and I had an evening free of kids, we decided to give this place a try. When we arrived , there was a table of two inside , a table of 8 to 10 outside and then my wife and I. We were greeted by an older woman and sat immediately. After that is when it kind of fell apart. There was a young man and woman working the tables. We had the boy as our waiter and the girl seemed to be the slave/ bus girl. She was very nice and good, the waiter however was not so much. It took him almost 15-20 min to acknowledge us. After we were acknowledged, he didn’t write down our order. When the order came out , my wife was missing the extras she asked for ( which cost extra). ( tomatoe, onions and 1$ extra for sweet potato fries.6 and I was missing my extra side ( reg fries) When our food arrived. I ( goulash) had a hair in my food, she was missing the extras and received reg fries and I had not gotten my reg fries. When it was brought to the waiters attention , he took my plate and the older woman brought me my new plate out. But the waiter seemed to be annoyed that I had mentioned the hair. He never swapped my wife’s reg fries for sweet potatoe frys. ( but we were still charged for them, originally) The food it self was fine. The meat I had was very tender but i wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor). ( doesn’t mean it won’t be good to someone else). My wife enjoyed her burger , but the service was severely lacking. All in all, it’s something we can write off in our book of places to try. Most likely we will never revisit the place . It a shame cause the place has sim much potential. If they make the waiter the bus boy/ dish washer and make the girl the waitress we may consider trying another meal. But until then, we will stay away. Again. Food not to bad(. We don’t rate badly cause I didn’t like the food ). Can’t mKe everyone happy. I rate poorly cause of the service and the lack of concern they seemed to have for the hair in my food and the fact they messed up our order in more...
Read moreMy family and I decided to go out to eat for dinner. We are new to the area so we’ve never tried this restaurant before we decided to try it out. We arrived at 6:30 PM. We got seated and we’re handed water which is fine the waitress in that area was attending other customers not once she turned to us say hello nothing which is fine but then we waited and waited and waited. The owner passes by and ask us if we received the menu for the St. Patrick’s Day special we said no, and we didn’t receive anything at all. She gave us the menu and walked away, we are still waiting. I’m assuming he’s the bus boy because he isn’t a waiter because later on he said he didn’t have a number which we’ll get to that. He finally came and asked us what we wanted and was surprised that we weren’t even asked to drink yet he took our drink order and we still waited by 7:15 PM. We decided it was time to go. I walked to the table where the waitress take the orders to cancel the order and the waitress that was supposed to handle that already had an attitude and saying the owner asked you and you said you wanted more time which was not the case, and as I’m speaking to her, she walked off. After all this is done, my husband goes back to talk to the owner and the manager Sabrina Decides to tell him there’s nothing they can do basically and that we were only waiting for 20 minutes after our drinks were taken, but what about the minutes before which again we were there for 45 minutes. The place was empty so no need for the delay or the attitude. The waitress was super quick to help and be super friendly to a couple right before we walked out. I highly do not recommend this...
Read moreWe have been here 2 times in the past and the food was good. Not so much this time.
First was the calamari appetizer, there was maybe 15 thin rings in the order and some were rubbery and oily, I told the waitress but she said that was the order size. I don't even think it was made fresh. Coconut shrimp appetizer had 4 shrimp. It was just ok tasting. Steamed clam appetizer had about 12 clams. Nothing special, could have made this at home.
For dinner I ordered the jagersnitzel, i have had this dish in many restaurants before and the carriage house just didn't know how to make it. I received lightly floured veal cutlet in a light, thin, borderline tasteless sauce.
My wife had a chicken dish and it was just chicken cutlet floured with a thin tasteless sauce.
For about $25 for each entree and $13 each appetizer you would expect a lot better.
We went with another couple who ordered the same exact dishes we did and their opinions were tha same as ours.
On a plus side the free bread was very good and the waitress service...
