The owner of this so called "bakery" is extremely hard to deal with. Her poor attitude and multiple instances of rude behavior is completely uncalled for and most certainly unprofessional.
My family and I have complained about this place for as long as I can remember. What type of bakery doesn't have their rolls ready when they open in the morning? and if you need them, they give you day or two old rolls? Seriously.... they don't even have "fresh" rolls until almost 10:30am! Ever try their cakes... HA! it was probably hard as a rock and baked days ago!
HEALTH CODE VIOLATION! Just this afternoon, my mother and were trying to get a sandwich made. We walked in to the shop to hear the owner, yes the OWNER, bitching about her terrible cold. Greeeattt we thought. The line was long, as usual, because they are so darn slow, and she was at the register making change for another customer. She then took a sandwich order from the lady in front of us... DID SHE WEAR GLOVES? NOPE! She was sick as a dog, touching dirty money, and then makes a sandwich?! Talk about spreading her sickness as well as whatever was on the money to whomever was going to consume that food... I will be reporting this establishment to the board of health. Perhaps they should think twice and follow proper food handling procedures and maybe, just maybe, try and be friendly to people!... guess she doesn't care too much about her business.......
Read moreI have no good things to say here. It’s actually shocking how bad it was. The general non friendliness/ hostility there aside, I got a plain roast beef sandwich on rye and a rum ball. As a deli you’d really have to try hard to screw that up. The bread was so dry as to be crunchy and the roast beef was equally as dry and difficult to swallow. I ate half and am throwing the rest away out of concern of food safety issues. Why not get fresh food for your establishment? The rum ball is just pure sugar and cheap chocolate. The kicker - the absolute mind blowing kicker is that a small inedible sandwich and one - ONE rum ball cost me $15.00 FIFTEEN DOLLARS?! Are you kidding? Every other deli in the area has decent sandwiches for $7. This was not worth that - So is a rum ball $8?! EIGHT DOLLARS?! I need answers here. How do people get away with this? As a final note - no bags? Why should people fumble with dry sandwiches, an $8 rum ball and orange coleslaw while finding their car keys. I’m not asking for the world here, just to get edible food and a bag. This was...
