New Hong Kong Chinese Food — Restaurant in Frankfort Square

Ordered beef fried rice large, bc I’m allergic to shrimp and shellfish. Got home, and my beef fried rice is shrimp fried rice… Super frustrating….

UPDATE: I call the store on Tuesday bc once I realized that they had put what is comparable to poison to me in my bag they were closed, and they are closed on Monday. I spoke to the woman owner and explained to her that I was frustrated when I put this review up bc I’d been coming there for years and telling them that I had a shellfish allergy. I told her, “I get the large beef fried rice to put on my top of my large peppered steak, bc I do not like the white rice.” Since I was forced to keep it for two days of course I ate the peppered steak. She began to raise her voice bc she was upset that I left a bad review. So I told her if you replace my peppered steak and my beef fried rice so that I could eat my meal the way it was supposed to be eaten I would delete this review, no harm no foul. Instead of saying okay, she said “no, I will only replace your beef fried rice, your review hurts my business”, with a raised voice. I don’t know if she couldn’t understand, but I was literally trying to delete my review, I guess allowing me the right to eat my meal the way it was initially supposed to be eaten wasn’t worth it to her to get this review deleted. I think I was just frustrated bc shrimp is literally poison to me and I’ve been telling them that...

No idea what all these 1 star reviews are on about. I've never once had dry rice from this place. The only rice that's ever been "dry" is the white rice, which anyone who knows rice knows that that's normal anyways, sticky and rather dry comparable to other foods. The food tastes really good and you get very nice proportion for the price compared to every single other Chinese place around. Been coming here for pick-up for over a year and food has always been great. But last Friday 11.3.23, I had to throw away over $30 of food. The appetizers were dried out and tasteless, the shrimp fried rice was gummy and salty and the egg Foo young had the thickest, tasteless gravy ever. It was horrible.
