Duke's Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Franklin Township

I've never actually sat down to eat at Dukes but I’ve been a fan since they opened up a few years back. A couple times a month, I order a small pizza with some garlic parmesan wings for takeout. And I can't ever remember being disappointed. Tonight, I tried two of the specials for takeout and I was impressed. First, I had the cold seafood salad with clams, shrimp, calamari and bits of celery and spices. Oil and fresh lemon were wonderful additions to the sauce. Kind of reminded me a bit like a Peruvian ceviche. There was an amble amount of both shrimp and clams. Maybe there was a bit too much calamari because I couldn’t finish it all. And, the calamari could have been a little more tender. But overall, it was delicious and after using some bread to soak up the sauce, I was feeling quite full.

For the entrée, I order the blackened chicken over linguine, spinach, tomatoes in an alfredo sauce. The chicken had the right amount of spice for me and the serving was plentiful. After filling up on the seafood salad, bread and the side salad that came with the entrée, I was only able to eat a third of the chicken dish. But what I ate, I enjoyed. Duke’s Pizzeria & Restaurant is the perfect pizzeria anyone would want in their town and I’m lucky to have them here. We just moved to the area and we were hoping that this pizzeria was going to be good... and it is! Everything we have ordered has been excellent! Our orders have included the margarita pizza (which is incredible), the grilled chicken Cesar salad (awesome), grilled chicken subs (also great) and the spaghetti and meatballs which was very good.
