This is a beautiful restaurant but the service and the food were not good. The service today was very poor, we had to wait over five minutes for our waiter to come over to take a drink order, though, there were only two other tables seated. The waiter was rude... not a hello, not a how are you just, “what do you want to drink?” When I asked the waiter if he could ask the chef if eggs were in the bread they served, he looked at me and said, it is bread, it has eggs in it. Well, not all bread has eggs as an ingredient. I asked him to please ask the chef. When our drinks finally came after a long wait, which I assumed was because of my allergy question, he sets our drinks down and says, "What are you ordering?" in a not so nice way. I asked if he had asked the chef about the bread, he rolled his eyes and said no, he left to ask the chef. He finally returned, saying they have no idea. I then asked if there was a children menu and without explanation, he tells me, the appetizer menu is the children menu. What I found out later, is that they can half the order and add fries, if the order is for a child. We order our food; I had the chicken nachos, which were salty, the chips were burnt and the chicken lacked any flavor. My husband had the chicken sandwich, again the chicken had no flavor, the fries were over cooked, and oil was old. I will say the curly chicken my son ordered, was good. The iced tea had a funky flavor. After finishing our meal, we waited for our check, and then, waited for our check. We saw our waiter standing in the soda area for a few minutes, and then he proceeded to go to another table and talk about martinis and then, again, retreated to the soda area to stand. Finally, another girl came over and cleared our table; it was another five or so minutes before he came back to our table with our check. It was only when giving us our check that he was nice to us. It was our first, and it will be our last time going to...
Read moreWHAT A SHAME!!!! My husband and I were there for the first time on a Sunday and the place was empty at 3pm. They gave us a table not mentioning that we only had an hour and a half to eat or we would have not stayed but even that wasn't as bad as the so called hostess (by her sole appearance it is hard to believe she was a hostess) came to our table at 5pm to ask us if we wanted the check when a dish had just arrived at our table. We were surprised by the question and she proceeded to say the table was reserved while there were other 7 tables open. BAD business altogether!!! We asked to talk to the manager and she ( the hostess, the only weirdo with a mask) told us that we had been there for 6 hours!!! The manager was apologetic but just that, she never solved the problem and the issue is this... Bad business because we were still consuming and how did they know our bill would have not been 2 or 3 times higher than a table of 4? (We usually do consume quite a bit since we like to go out). The servers were more professional and apologetic than the people that represent the restaurant (hostess and manager) and unfortunately the servers are the most affected. Anyone with a restaurant business knows that the tables you want are the ones that keep consuming but unfortunately this one has the typical corporation arttitude. Pretty restaurant but terrible policies. You would be better off going to Cinder Bar where by the way even through the pandemic they had enough sense to let us enjoy ourselves without time limits. I guess from a business point of view they appreciated our $400/500 dollars that we don't mind spending because we want to take our time. Btw, we most likely would have been done way before those 7 open tables were filled. If you want to rush through your dinner this may be the place for you but if you want to enjoy yourself please...
Read more2/21/21 - My wife and I had 6:00pm reservations for the pub area on Sunday night. We arrived on time and were seated Immediately. Our waitress took our drink order and then returned with our drinks and took our order. About a half hour in our appetizer came and we thought all was good. 15 minutes later I gave the waitress an order we were going to take home to our son. We then proceeded to wait and wait. 40 minutes later the waitress approached our table with the take out order, I then asked her if we were going to be served our meals at which point she kept saying she doesn't know what happened to our meals. The hostess approached us and I asked her what was going on with our entrees . She then told me she wouldn't be spoken to that way, and continued to say they were so busy. That was a lie . There was no outdoor dining , we were the only people seated in the pub and I hardly noticed anyone being taken to the bar area. They did seat a party of six and eight in the dining room She then left and went back to the kitchen. I asked my wife if I was out of line and she said no you just asked were our food was. At this point I left and had my wife wait for our credit card and meals. The hostess then returned and started to apologize to my wife that she had no idea that we were there so long without getting our food. I guess I should have been happy because she didn't charge us for my our entree's but did charge me for our 2 drinks and my son's meal. We have been going to the Lakehouse for several years and actually enjoyed the place. After we left we decided we will never again go there again. The hostess was way out of line and should have found out what the problem was before she came to our table and told me I was out of line for asking what happened to our food. Our waitress was never seen again. Sorry we inconvenienced you with...
