Great Place to eat near Seneca Caverns This restaurant is only open from Apr 1 - Oct 31. This site is located along WV 9 several miles down two lane roads. There is a fairly large parking lot around that is the center of a family style restaurant, a gift shop and a restroom building. The caverns tours are seasonal so check their site and the date to make sure that they are open. We were lucky and got on one of the last cavern tours for the season on Halloween. We had to wait a while before the tour started. At that time the tours ran about every hour and take about an hour. You leave to go underground on one side of the restaurant and come up on the other side of the building. There are some other activities but we decided to try the restaurant. It is a lovely place with real silverware and great staff. The view out the main window was across hills covered with the beautiful fall colors of the changing leaves. We ordered 2 drinks and snacks while waiting for our tour. I am glad we stopped by to try this place for the food, staff and view. Tucked away near Seneca caverns, this unassuming restaurant doesn't have the look or feel of a nice restaurant. Greeted by an ice cream case and plastic tables, I wasn't expecting much, but with limited options in the area, figured why not.

I had the steak with wild rice and Brussels sprouts. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, the Brussels sprouts crispy and flavorful, and the rice creamy and delicious. My husband had the pheasant, and my son had the pan seared chicken. We all left full and very happy.

This is an absolute must go when you are in the area the drive will set you in the mood and once you get there and experience the view and the flavors of the food nothing can stop you from coming back. The Black Angus steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'm not talking about a premix seasoning you can taste fresh herbs and vegetables that are not over or under cooked.
