Don’t order pizza from NY Pie unless you want to wait 2+ hours for it.
Ordered a pizza over an hour before I went to pick it up… I was quoted 30-40 min and I even gave them extra time since it’s the first week being open and it’s a Friday night. When I got there the restaurant was chaos. When I finally got up to the register and told them I called in my order (because online ordering wasn’t available per their website) I was told that I needed to wait for the other register since they can’t see orders they didn’t take themselves because their system is “quirky”. After now waiting in a second line, I gave them my name and phone number that I used to call it in with. They couldn’t find my order. The person who was ‘helping’ me then walked away for several minutes without saying anything. When she came back she asked me if I was sure I called it in. I asked if they wanted to see the call I made to them over an hour ago. She then went and checked the 20+ tickets hanging up and the computer system with the orders. She came back and said sorry, we must’ve lost your order. It would take at least another hour to make. Forget it.
This was after I watched several people have the same experience as me and just walk out without their orders like I did.
Terrible experience. I have used their other location and has great food and never had a problem. The is location is horrible. I will not be back.
The joke is calling it NY Pie… no real New York pizza takes 2+ hours to make and doesn’t care that they lost my order. But they yelled out, make sure to come back. Ha. I will...
Read moreWe were really hoping to love this place, but were sadly disappointed. This is definitely a "chain" version of NY style pizza. The sauce was bland, the crust was thin, but not flavorful, the pizza was exceptionally greasy, the pepperoni tasted like Hormel, and the pizza did NOT stand up to next-day reheating. My son's pizza even tasted like multi-purpose cleaner.... couldn't figure out if it was the crust or the cheese that was off. The Greek salad was ok. The cannoli was good, and probably the best part of the meal. We spent over $70 and didn't end up eating more than half of the food.
Also, we totally recognize that this is a brand new place, still working out the kinks of a new restaurant, but the service was less than stellar. Ordered 4 hours ahead of time for a specific pick up time, arrived right on time only to be told the pizzas weren't even in the oven yet. Left and returned almost 30 mins later only to have to wait another 10 mins. We were not greeted, or thanked for our order. There were at least 8-10 employees bustling around and getting in each other's way. It was pretty chaotic.
The layout of the restaurant is not "user friendly" on a busy dine-in evening. You have to walk through a small single center aisle with seats to one side at the "bar" and tables to the other side, being careful not to side-swipe servers, and people waiting on line at the back of the store to order and pick up. I know it's a small space, but the design is not ideal...The whole experience left us...
Read moreNY Pie has the best pizza in the area by far . The pizzas are super delicious with excellent NY style crust and top quality toppings that are very generous . It's not the cheapest pizza but they are big and loaded and we can eat 2 meals from 1 pizza . Their sit in area isn't very big or nice but I'm going there for the pizza and it's adequate . They generally have pizzas ready in 20-30 minutes . That's even on a really busy night . They do half and half on pizzas also for people that want to not order 2 separate pizzas . Simply the best pizza around .
Update: Just had a pepperoni large pizza . Was nearly $30 and the amount of pepperoni was 1/2 that of the last time . The pepperoni was not as good as usual and the price had gone up . Not happy with...
