The staff here are friendly and the place is nice, but the food isn't at all what we were expecting. While we looked through the menu they brought out chips and dip. The chips were stale, the salsa had little flavor and no spice, and with the salsa they brought a cup of ranch. I've never heard of anyone dipping tortilla chips in ranch. I know I'm a white boy but come on. The margaritas were a good size and pretty strong. No complaints with them, but then came the meals. The chicken chorizo was alright, but the chorizo had no spice only grease. The rice was bland and the other sides were just ok. We also got chicken tamales, which came covered in sauce and cheese. They were good but we were expecting plain tamales and we ended up scraping all the excess off. We also got a couple tacos. It took a while to order the tacos because we wanted the traditional chicken cilantro and onion on corn tortillas, but the menu seemed more catered to an American pallet. Overall the experience was just ok, but we must continue our search for real Mexican cuisine in the area.

Update 6/2023, portion sizes are half of what they used to be and the prices have doubled, our group order multiple items off the menu everything was out to the table within 5 minutes which tells me they're not cooking they're just putting it together like Taco Bell. Quality of food is not the same the so-called "Big burrito" in the picture, is $16 and that's all you got. Much older review... This is by far the best restaurant because of their customer service, quality in authenticity of the food, the atmosphere and anything else that you're looking for in a Mexican restaurant, if you come for your birthday they'll let you put on a sombrero to take a photo with. They have a couple different locations but I prefer the one on 14 and Groesbeck in Fraser. The staff has been there for a long time and they just remodeled... So everything is perfect

Times have changed and so the restaurant changes, too. Usually good food, here. Expected the same good food and atmosphere, but not today. Food was not at its best. Waitress was pleasant and friendly. Very small proportion of carnitas (could barely make 2 tortilla wraps). Had a spaghetti type red sauce...definitely not "real" red sauce. Actually, more sauce than carnitas. The three, small, soft tortillas were over-microwaved (very dry/hard on all edges and tough to chew). Rice and beans were okay as were the chips/salsa. The combo meal was two small tamales and one small enchilada for $16. Same type of "spaghetti" sauce used over the entree'. Strawberry smoothie was good. Their music was way too loud and not very pleasant to listen to. Definitely not worth the price on either meal, so this will be the last visit for me.

My husband and I just stumbled upon this restaurant and are so thankful! We were in the area, which we aren't familiar with, and wanted to get something to eat before we got on the road for an hour drive home. EVERYTHING in the area had at least a 45 minute wait. So, I did another quick restaurant search and this place popped up. We decided to check it out, and no kidding, they were packed, BUT they had us seated within 10 minutes - even with the Covid-19 restaurants restrictions!!!

I'm vegetarian, so I didn't know if they'd have much to offer, and let me just tell you, I was wrong! I got the veggie fajitas, and Oh My Goodness were they the best I've ever eaten. It felt and tasted like we were dining in an authentic Mexico restaurant.

I always get corn tortillas (gluten intolerant) with my fajitas, and they actually tasted like corn. Delish! I ate plenty there and have enough leftovers for two more meals. Incredible!

My husband ordered the meal (can't remember the name) which had five different enchiladas and he was stuffed. He said they were amazing!

Upon being seated, they give you the usual chips and salsa... but what's not usual is how scrumptious the chips and salsa tasted! We could actually taste the fresh cilantro in the salsa and the corn in the chips. Yum!

Their food was so good we've decided to go back just to eat there. No errands to run in the area, nothing. Just enjoying another fantastic meal.

We are so glad the other restaurants had a long wait because, otherwise, we never would've found our new favorite...

My office had a carryout order today. We had several orders, and almost everyone was very satisfied with the food.

Two of us, however, ordered the Taco Loco salad, and we were both extremely disappointed. The description on the menu of this item did not match what we got at all. The menu states: "Beef, chicken, beans, lettuce, sour cream and cheese. Served in a baked shell and topped with tomatoes and nacho cheese."

Nacho cheese? Not exactly. This is highly misleading, as one would expect a creamy, yellow cheese that is typically found on nachos. This item had shredded white cheese. It was good-- just not nacho cheese, which we were expecting.

Also, we both asked for no tomatoes. Come to find out, the chicken appeared to be cooked with tomatoes in with it, so we were disappointed to find tomatoes IN with the meal.

Also, the chicken was cooked with some kind of pepper, which is VERY upsetting. Peppers are not the type of ingredient that can just be left unsaid. People have allergies and picky tastes. I would have steered clear of this item had I known that peppers were in it, as I am unable to eat peppers due to a stomach condition.

Basically, the food was good, it tasted good and was prepared well. The menu, however, needs to clearly list all of the ingredients, so that picky or allergic customers are not left hungry and $8...

Up until today this was a 5 star authentic Mexican food place. I've been going here for years. I make it at least once a month sometimes more if I do a take out. I loved this place and will actually miss the food immensely. Today I took my 24 year old out for her birthday, we ordered jumbo Margaritas and our food. The waiter brought our drinks and he spilled a whole jumbo Margarita on me . I was soaked, shirt pants everything. Not a big deal accidents happen. I've never been in here without leaving at least a $10.00 tip no matter if I order just beans and rice takeout for my other daughter. Anyway he brought another drink to replace the one he spilled and our food. When I got the bill and seen that he didn't even discount 5% at least, needless to say I was a little peeved but I figured maybe he'll say something when I pay. I went up paid the bill which was $46.86. He gave me my change of $13.14, I asked for 2 fives for the 10, handed him a 5 for a tip told him that this was my favorite restraunt and because he never offered a discount for soaking me with a drink I would never be back. What happened to customer service. I always tip and almost always tip well because I've been a waitress before. I would have been mortified by not giving a discount or at least the freaking drink for free....
