The Restaurant Manager seriously needs to re-revaluate the waitress who was working December 26th. If my husband and friends had flown over from Tennessee and she refused to clean off a table for us because she was too busy and hadn't waited on 4 other tables, we wouldn't have cared how long it would have taken since plane fuel is not cheap. But same goes for my daughter, her kids, me and my brother. It will be awhile before we return once that waitress is gone. I took my grandson a week before this visit and she had help but she still had a negative attitude towards the management. I have been in food service for over 20 years and I have never made customers feel they weren't welcome. I would have said, go ahead and sit down I will get to you as fast as I can. Seriously the management needed to get theirselves out ty here to help this woman. Not sure if this management has a contract to operate the restaurant if so maybe the as airport should look at her contract. I know this is not AOPA problem but it sure is one poor reflection on this airport since pilots are known to flew their planes to airports that have restaurants on...
Read moreThis is my FIRST time writing a bad review about a place in Frederick. It simply infuriated me this morning. I brought my three children there this morning to celebrate my son turning 5 today. I have never been and was told from a coworker that you can sit and watch the planes while eating. This excited my son. We have been talking about it all week. I bathed all three kids, packed in the car and walked in. It took near 2 minutes for someone to even "greet" us. All I got was "you can go sit there." Since all the blinds were closed shut, I explained our intention of watching the planes and asked where I could sit to do so. She simply stared at me and said, "well we keep them closed because it gets too hot in here." I am sorry ma'am, but it was only 0730 in the morning, 69 degrees outside. That is NO excuse. I said, "well that is the exact reason we came here, to eat breakfast and watch the planes." She then said with a grimace, "well i guess I can open it a little." SERIOUSLY! This is a restaurant made FOR WATCHING PLANES. The kids and I walked right out. This is the exact example of POOR...

Food and price is decent, but limited selection pending customer preference. General service is good, you may run out of drink before they notice but they do check on you and the waitress is polite. Reception is not good (not bad but not accomadating). Did not smile nor acted friendly but was direct on task (semi professional). Requested one of two tables by window but was rejected during off-peak time with customers diminishing. One table was vacated from a group of 5+, another was two couple table by window, neither were allowed. Instead we were placed in the corner surrounded by two adjacent walls with almost no direct view.
Final thought: Decent place to go and eat while looking at the airport time to time, but do not expect southern friendly treatment nor grand selection. I would recommend everyone to try at least once for...
