I don't normally leave reviews. But the kid behind the counter grumbled about adding more lettuce when I asked for more lettuce because apparently he already added extra lettuce. So, to his mumbled point, yes: adding more lettuce to my sub as it was did make the sandwich rather difficult to close. Yet I've had Sandwiches from JJ with more lettuce than this, and was still able to close it. Why? Well because those other Sandwiches were correctly cut for a sub. Proper cutting of a jimmy johns sub (1-6) is supposed to be much closer to the bottom of the bread so that there's more space in the top that's been gutted to fit all of the sandwich contents. The cut on my sub was made in the location of a club sandwich-- so of course there wasn't enough room for the lettuce. And on top of it-- the cut was made on the wrong side of the bread as well. With the cut side of the sandwich facing the customer, (the slide made from cutting a full loaf in half) the opening to the sandwich contents should be facing to the right. So now-- not only did the sandwich not have enough space to fit the amount of lettuce I would have liked. But the contents are also facing the direction of the hand I usually hold the sandwich in, making it messier to eat. The flavor itself is fine. Of course. And the other people there were, you know, just doing their jobs. But the dude who grumbled about the wants of the customer should really probably save his grumbling for after he actually follows standard jimmy johns...

Ordered sandwich and cup of water to refill my water bottle. They pushed me towards bottled water and I agreed to it. After the sale they said they were out of bottled water, so they gave me tap water. They didn’t offer a refund of the $2.50 they charged me, I had to ask. With 3 people there, no one knew how to process a refund. No manager on-site apparently. They offered chips or a cookie which I declined. After opening my sandwich in the car, I deduced they must have run out of lettuce too. I was at the service plaza for 25 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. I’m packing my lunch next time I travel...

I think the employees here make the sandwiches with their eyes crossed lmao.

My mom and I both got a Vito. She got a piece of bread with provolone cheese and salami lazily slapped inside. I got a piece of bread with cheese and salami even more lazily slapped inside, with the addition of some lettuce and four small tomato slices.

I mean... it's food. I ate it. It wasn't worth the $19 for two sandwiches and two fountain drinks. It also wasn't a Vito. But at least it's, like, a sandwich, with stuff you...

First time trying a whole new sandwich spot as a New Yorker in Ohio. They definitely give you more meat than I’m used too without having to ask compared to NYC. The taste profile could be profoundly better but it’s a rest stop so it’s expected and as good as it gets. The price point was amazing too, I think it was $8 for an entire Sandwich with chips and drink. Would’ve paid at least $16 in NYC for all that The staff was amazing and cracked jokes on my city accent. Appreciate the love and thanks for the meal!
