Bobby Sue's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Freedom

Bobby sue, you should be ashamed of yourself, for hiring the young lady that was the obvious lead last night (7/27/24). The ice cream is great but that was ruined by a bad attitude and yelling at customers for not knowing where to stand on line. The other employees were also not having a great night due to the overwhelming feeling that the lead was not happy to be there with customers wanting ice cream. That might be a problem for her moving forward as she's working in an ice cream stand. Sad to say what used to be a great family place for an ice cream has now been over run by unhappy, loud, inconsiderate brats. I won't be back again. Just down the road is a far superior ice cream shop called Eldridges maple sugar, that is happy to serve...

I’ve been a customer here for about 40 years. I remember when it was in the old building. When they improved to a window. When they added on with waiting and sitting area. I’ve seen so many great improvements until it recently changed ownership. They used to hand pack whatever flavor you wanted. Not anymore. Not even when slow and have time. Try calling? Forget it, they never answer. The quality used to be top notch and now the chips are thinner and not nearly as good. There are SO MANY incredible local, family owned shops just as far a drive that will appreciate your business and treat you nicely and be kind. Every time I’ve gone to Bobby sues it never disappoints. The staff is always nice and it is the best ice cream I’ve had. However, whoever was working on June 28th deserves a raise or a bonus. Twenty minutes before they closed, an entire summer camp came to get ice cream. It had to have been at least 50-60 kids. They remained so pleasant and offered great service. Working in that industry is not easy especially when stuff like that happens. I just wanted to give them a pat on the back for that.
