Stopped in for lunch, was promptly greated by a wonderful woman , whose name I didn't get because I am a dope... We were told of the daily specials, which included fresh Haddock Chowder. I know using the term "fresh" up here isn't necessary because anyone worth their weight in salt would never use the frozen crud, but it's just to point out to other folks the quality of the product...Anyway... we were brought two huge bowls of the Haddock Chowder that was loaded with huge pieces of haddock , creamy, seasoned perfectly... it was the start to an unbelievable meal... we were then served hot pastrami on the with a side a baked beans... seriously... why would anyone within a hundred mile radius eat at any chain restaurant?!?! The quality of the food was only topped by the wonderful service and conversation with our server and a couple locals. Please stop by and check this little place out... You won't be disappointed. We hope to be back soon my friends, thank you for a...
Read moreI ordered the sunrise breakfast and asked that it not have corned beef hash. Well, this was a problem because they were unwilling to do a substitution of shredded potatoes for corned beef hash. When I finally was able to put in my order, the poached eggs came out basically raw. The two best things about this restaurant are the friendly wait staff, in the blueberry muffins, which are homemade in-house in excellent. Everything else on the breakfast menu is simply Sysco brand prepared foods. For example, the shredded potatoes are boxed shredded potatoes, and the toast is typical store-bought hfcs-laden bread. And did I mention the exorbitant prices? , With the substitution of no corned beef hash, with coffee and a toasted blueberry muffin came to $22. And the eggs were in edible. My advice is, skip this restaurant, or simply go in in order a blueberry muffin and...
Read moreWow what a great little place to go for breakfast or lunch. We stopped by and had a wonderful experience. I had two eggs over medium (done perfectly), with home fries, an English Muffin and bacon, with coffee and a large OJ (and its large too). My Daughter had the oatmeal with sourdough bread and coffee. She said the oatmeal was excellent as was the toasted sourdough bread. Mike was our server and he was very attentive and fun. The bill was $23.00 plus a $5.00 tip. We never felt rushed and all the other staff that we interacted with were very nice too. They're open year round. We'll definitely be back again soon. Another "let's go there" restuarant added to our list. We chose the outside dining because it was a beautiful day and they have...
