The Ledge — Restaurant in Freetown

Let me start by saying that I absolutely think Darlene the owner and her husband know how to run a business Impeccably I was a huge fan of Assonet Roasters and now the Ledge.. when we arrived there was a bit of a wait for a table. No worries as they were super busy and the waitresses were running around once we were seated or waitress came right over. And took our order. We started off with the buffalo tenders which were amazing and big. I also got the chocolate cake martini and my husband of beer which again were both very good.. for our meals I got a pasta dish and my husband the chicken Parm both meals were hot and fresh even though we waited a good while for the food to come out, it is to be expected as they just opened a few weeks ago. After a long day of working in my GARDEN,I decided that a meal out would be a great reward for a rewarding but exhausting day.We went to The Ledge. Immediately asked DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION????? As if the following experience would be akin to most higher end venues!! Well, it was memorable! Very noisy. More than casual , uncomfortable chairs, even after asking for booth for my handicap hubby. The waitress brought the drinks and picked up the menus. And yes leaned over hubby spilling his ice cold drink on him and all over me! Tiny towels to clean up, sat in cold pants, ice all over floor never picked up. Terrible food .$100.00+ tip. Very cool vibe at the Ledge, rock and roll themed dining area. Unfortunately that was the best part of my experience. The food was standard. I ordered bone in wings and they came very under sauced, to the point where I had dry spots on the wings. When I asked for some more sauce I was told it would be $3 more, for sauce that should have already been on the wings. Unfortunately the burgers were nothing to write home about either. I would hope it was a one time occurrence but not sure I’d go back. Meal cost $77 for an app 2 orders of wings...
