oh Chai! (High Tea Catering) — Restaurant in Fremont

My daughter and I were looking for a high tea place in the Bay Area, but with an Indian twist, especially the Deja vu feeling of Indian masala chai goodness!! We were also watching this YouTube video of a Bay Area couple taste all the chai versions in Bay Area and rate them out of 10, so our search started and boy are we beyond thrilled to have not just come across Reshu’s oh chai, but we are fans for life! Reshu caters sandwiches, desserts, savory appetizers and chai, all vegetarian and outstandingly delicious I must say!

I checked out her website, called her thinking it’s a sit down place and learnt about her journey in searching for ‘the chai’, only for her to solve the problem herself by literally brewing it herself and then serving it to the chai lovers in the area :)

In my day job, we do regular customer lunches for a wide audience and I had the opportunity to place an order for a bit of everything that Reshu offers - 2 pots chai, a dozen of each kind of sandwich, 2 dozens of the savory potato and peas puffs, and a dozen each of two different desserts! She had such cute packing, labeling and impecable delivery and extremely reasonable prices! I can wait to work with her more for catering for my daughters bday and several other events.

During the customer lunch, we had about 24’ish people attend and all the food disappeared in a jiffy with raving feedback for every single sandwich, puff and dessert. The highlight of course was the masala chai! We had to leave back a pot coz they wanted more :) So pleased with doing business with Reshu and can’t...

All 4 cakes were just delicious. The rose elaichi and walnut stood out for me and of course the orange meringue & the chocolate cake !!! Ingredients as always seemed to be top notch — whole wheat flour and organic brown sugar on inquiry.

This is a fulfilling fluffy delicacy, flavorful and can make many a English pastry chef in the vintage tea rooms of Manchester nod in appreciation. Nicely presented ! Baking is an art and I think our Oh Chai !! baker has mastered it and the ingredients of love and passion for creating unique flavors is discerned with every bite.

On to sandwiches . The crunchiness of evenly sized and distributed nuts is an attention that I felt along with the taste. The sweet one which had fig preserve with goat cheese. That was my favorite. The roasted pecans gave a good crunch and the goat cheese & herbs gave a flavor to ponder. The cucumber cream cheese sandwich was yummy and again the homemade bread was fresh and delicious.

Oh Chau is on to something unique here ! Keep it up 👍 . Definitely try Oh Chai folks ! The overall value is far greater than the price for...

Oh Chai has been such a gem of a find! I’ve been Reshu’s very first customer, and continue to be a loyal one. Every time I order from her, the chai is an instant hit—everyone raves about it! But it’s not just the tea—every snack and bakery item I’ve tried from her has been absolutely spectacular. She truly nails the flavors, textures, and presentation every single time. I have ordered her sandwiches, rose cardamom cake, orange cake, walnut cake, samosa pinwheels, kheer. I keep looking for occasions to try and order variety of items she has on her menu.

Reshu has also gone above and beyond, especially when I’ve had to place last-minute orders—always kind, accommodating, and reliable.
