DO NOT VISIT!! Horrible horrible service. Worst dinner we had in Bay area. They have such terrible attitude. First of all, we had to wait for 20 mins to get table ready. When they told us Table is ready and we got near table, we saw that there were noodles all over below our table. Seats were sticky and yucky. We ignored it and that was our mistake. . No one would come to take our order or ask us for drinks for very long. We had to call them again and again. First thing we did is make it clear that all of us are vegetarians and we don't want any meat or meat broth in our food. We ordered Appetizers. Food came around 15-20 mins later when other server came and started to take our menus, we said we are yet to order main course and she shouted at us "you want more food?" What was that? We ordered 3 appetizers between 6 people, is that all you eat? We still ordered main course and that was our second mistake. . They again take their sweet time to bring us main course, lotus root dish was good but then they got us our Kung Pao Tofu made with chicken instead of tofu. One of us ate it and realised its not Tofu. We called them immediately and asked whats that? We ordered Tofu and this isn't Tofu. No apologies what so ever, the server just said "I will change it for you" and he went back to the kitchen. Few minutes later this "you want more food" server came and told us "kitchen is closed, you won't get Tofu, do you want your kung pao chicken?" Seriously??? Again no apologies and she just shouted at us went away. . We got up and went to reception counter to pay bill for whatever we had eaten. We had ordered Fried Rice which came after Kung Pao chicken which we didn't eat. We said we are not paying for it since we are not sure now if it has meat in it. This rude person at reception started asking us for proof that we have not eaten that rice. One of us actually went back to the table and got that rice bowl and gave him as proof for not having eaten it. While he was making bill, we were talking with each other about how this service is unacceptable and suddenly the person behind reception desk started yelling at us. Wow!! You give terrible service, you mess up orders and when we complain about it you yell at us???? . We paid for whatever we had eaten and while we were leaving. The person again yelled at us and said "Take this rice with you, it's free". We have never ever seen such filthy attitude from a restaurant. Saddest part was there were senior staff people than this rude person who was yelling and no one came forward to apologize or at least make him calm. People please make yourself a favor and do not go here. There are many better food places who have lovely food and staff...
Read moreI’ve gotten food to go from this place a few times during the pandemic, and mostly enjoyed them. Saw they started indoor dining so decided to come try in person. I don’t think they are quite staffed properly for the lunch crowd. I saw only one person who was allowed to take phone calls, take orders from dine-in patrons, and entering in orders into system. I wanted to add an item, and that proved extremely difficult as I couldn’t flag down anyone. The table next to me waited a long time to order, the table across from me kept asking for their missing dish.. there was a long line outside of people waiting to be seated or to pick up their to-go order that weren’t ready. Overall just total chaos. Now the food. I ordered the numbingly spicy kidney and that was delicious. I didn’t realize that was a cold appetizer dish but that’s my own fault. Although I don’t know why they felt the need to provide a whole plate of cilantro… was a bit excessive. The boiling fish dish has good flavor, but I was a little disappointed that it only came with very small amount of veggies. I mean, that’s sometimes the best part of the dish, veggies on the bottom soaked up with delicious spicy flavor! One more thing- on the menu it says paying by cash gives you 5% discount above $20. I asked the waitress about it and she insisted it was above $50 and I must’ve read it wrong on the menu. I then showed her the picture I took which clearly says $20, then she said the menu is outdated and still will not honor it. I will live without the $2 discount, but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Overall I would say food taste and value is 4 stars, but overall dining experience is only 2. I will not return until they straighten out staffing, if at all. Understand it’s difficult to reopen restaurants at this time, but I also think they need the honest reviews from their patrons to know...
