I typically like the food. I’ve worked in restaurants for many years as management. Unfortunately the customer service is lacking here. We ordered a carry out. Before we drove away, we noticed a small mistake of no guacamole on our food when we specifically asked for it. They fixed it, no problem. We get home and realize there are no chips for the chips and salsa ordered. We paid 3 dollars each for two four oz salsas ( it’s on the receipt). I drove back to the restaurant to get the chips. The man was rude and said I wasn’t charged for the chips and it would cost an additional 3.50. I paid because I just wanted to get back and eat my food that was getting cold. I did remind him that we talked about the hot sauces coming with the “chips and salsa” and the mild with the meals. He said it didn’t matter ….I wasn’t charged for the chips. If I didn’t like it don’t come back. Well ok I won’t be back. We have gone there since opening, spent money on food drinks, brought people from out of town and he says don’t come back over a bag of chips. Ok I won’t be back. I think 9.50 for chips and salsa is ridiculous when I can’t find that price in the menu at all. I tipped him and had to drive all the way back to the restaurant because of his mistake and am told if I don’t like it don’t come back. Well I didn’t like it. For my trouble and his mistake, he could of had a customer for life by just giving me the chips. After all, I did already pay 6...

I’ve ordered food from this place for quite some time and it’s always been pretty good but today I had my lady put a order in for me and my family she gets back home with the food and the portions were very small and for the amount of money that I spend it was well not worth it so I called to speak with somebody about this. The girl who answered the phone was very rude and disrespectful when I told her about the situation another girl got on the phone asked me did I want to speak to the management? I said yes please management gets on the phone, I explained to him that the portions were very small and not worth the amount of money I spent. The guy was very rude and disrespectful. I will no longer spend any of my money at this place. They deserve no stars, but that’s not an option so they will be receiving one star for all categories this place has gotten to where if you don’t notice it they like to rip people off. You spend a lot of money and get little food portions. Management asked me what he should do about it. I told him well you’re the manager. What do you think you should do about? It proceeded to get mouthy with me very...

Mexican food yes, authentic absolutely not. Being aware of the different ways many dishes, which are the same yet are prepared differently, begs the question "what region of Mexican cuisine" is this from? I believe its from the mexico/central America region cookbook. This place is a bad representation of any type of Mexican cuisine. I have had better mexican food in a illegal immigrants bush camp cooked over an open camp fire, I'm not joking at all. The only thing authentic was "maybe" the chili, otherwise known as Salsa to non Hispanic people, and even this was questionable. No rolled tacos? Or taquitos as some call them. One thing is definitely certain, the bottled Coca Cola is from Old Mexico, you can taste the cane sugar, so I'm certain that's authentic. Well the rest is authentic if you don't know any better. So if you love this place great! If you're in seach of a taste of back home below the border ? I recommend Mexican Village downtown in the D. It's comparable to living in Thailand and thinking Mcdonalds is what a good flame broiled 1/2lb cheese burger tastes like here in the best country on...

We don't get here often, but it's always a treat when we do. My diet has become incredibly restricted over the past two years, but the menu includes a lot of options. I was able to order an omelet tailored to my diet restrictions. It may seem sort of blah ordering an omelet at an amazing Mexican restaurant, but I was so happy to find something that worked for me. My husband went with the tacos, which did not disappoint. Our family will order larger batches for get togethers, it's that good. It was nice to be able to sit in tonight. Our server, Miguel, was awesome as well.

This has become one of our favorite restaurants. We were tired of the "Mexican" food in our area, it was bland or had heat but no flavor. We were out running errands when we came across El-Maguey and decided to give it a try. We were very pleased. The food is spicy and flavorful. There are a variety of Mexican dishes and the prices are reasonable. The "green" sauce is my favorite condiment.

Ordered Waffle fries and a side salad to go, the Staff was really nice however the atmosphere was way to loud from the four TVs all being on in such a large open space that I decided not to dine in. The salad and fries were really good. I would probably recommend this location if loud nosy atmosphere doesn't bother you.
