Until today, I have had positive things to say about this place. Today my daughter, whom is in a wheelchair and drives a handicap van with a ramp, went to go to lunch here. The one handicapped spot with extra space for a ramp was taken by a very large truck with no plates or tag, that was also taking up a portion of another spot. My daughter was going to meet her friends for lunch and she was unable to get out of her car so I called Northside to ask them if they could have the illegally parked customer move their truck, so she could go in. I was told no, that they were too busy to go around asking who might be parked there and ask them to move. While it is not the fault of the restaurant someone illegally took that spot, I am still incredibly disappointed with their unwillingness to help. It showed extremely poor customer service and laziness. I will never take my business back there. Side note: if the spot had been taken by someone else that needed it, my daughter would have much understanding. And yes, there were a few empty spots open in the parking lot where her ramp would go down, but if someone parked next to her while she was inside she would not be able to get...
Read moreWas looking forward to the place opening up as it was the same owner of Grafton Inn.... What a complete waste of space, time and money! I thought the interior was too crowded with tables and chairs and just exceedingly gross. If they would have spent the time and money on the seating and floor area that they spent redoing the bathrooms, it would have been nice to look at. I asked for a menu and was handed a cheap laminated sheet with a VERY skimpy food selection. I asked the waitress if they were going to incorporate some of the menu from the Grafton and she said no... Such a shame. I figured I'd play it safe and ordered cheese sticks. When they came out I was gobsmacked. They make White Castle cheese sticks look like filet mignon. I wouldn't have fed this to my dog. A pretty new bar and new tv's do not a good business make. The only good thing I can say about this place (aside from the new, clean restrooms) is they seemed to have a decent selection of microbrews. After having experienced the owners former bar (Grafton Inn), this was like entering a third world country. I will...
Read moreOne of my favorite restaurant/bars. They offer locally sourced food & drinks. They also offer vegetarian options. The staff is SUPER friendly and really take care of you. The food is delicious, can be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for (see photos of menu. Example: "Sanctuary Burger" made with Buffalo, venison & boar...) They offer a WIDE and varied selection of drinks. Locally made beers & alcohol as well as seasonal drinks. One of the coolest ways to order your beer to go is called, the "Growler." (see photos-) Fill it up with your favorite ice cold beer and take it home with you to enjoy. They offer two different Growler sizes. Standard Growler is $7.00 & the German Growler is $35.00. Both collector glass jugs & very well made. Stop by and watch the game. Any game... They have 8 high def. t.v.'s inside along with 3 digital drink boards, 3 high def. t.v.'s on the patio along with 2 digital drink boards. If you haven't checked this place out yet, I highly recommend you do! (*As mentioned, all of the servers are wonderful! My favorite server is Emma. She is an absolute...
