This little place has the absolute BEST authentic Mexican food! Do not let the location mislead you. It is a family-owned restaurant that is small, not many tables that seat two people, but you can sit at the bar and watch the grill magic that takes place behind the counter. Weekday lunch times are busy here. Wonderful and friendly wait staff there, too. Chips with tomato salsa and green sour cream salsa (my FAV!) are served while you wait for your meal. Today, I had the Mole Poblano off-menu lunch special which was so amazing... Chunks of shredded chicken breast topped with poblano gravy topped with sprinkled sesame seeds. (sorry I couldn't wait to try my meal before I took my photo!) My hubby always gets the lunch Carnitas de Puerco which are so flavorful... super tender fried pork chunks topped with homemade tomatillo salsa. Their Margaritas are so tasty and fresh--not too tangy or sweet. Just plain DELICIOUS! Meals are very reasonably priced, as well. I would eat here everyday if I lived nearby. HA HA!

This is one of those "Wish I had listened earlier" situations. We FINALLY tried Habaneros. I never realized how close it was to my house. Right down the street from Clear Brook High School. Start with the salsa. So flavorful, with a very distinct (but not overpowering) garlic flavor. Nice spice level. Definitely more kick than most places. These nachos were perfection. Melty Oxahaca cheese topped with fajita. My daughter had the burrito with carnitas, and had a hard time finishing it. Rice was good, and the beans were on point. For anyone who hasn't been, it is a smaller size restaurant. There are 4 two chair tables, and a counter. Sitting at the counter is where it's at, watching the staff work their magic. They do seem to do a good amount of to go orders. Last, but no least... some of the friendliest owners out there. We had a nice chat with them and they let us know about all the great menu items they offer, including tamales. A great experience all over. We will definitely be back soon and often.

I've been a regular at Habanero's Tex Mex, having visited with a client on at least four occasions, and each time, the food has surpassed expectations. Recently, I decided to introduce my wife to the experience as we were seeking a change from our usual dining spots. Suggesting Habanero's, she agreed, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover they served drinks. Prompted by the friendly hostess, we opted for their house margarita, which turned out to be absolutely phenomenal! While I've attempted to try other items on the menu, I find myself consistently drawn back to their carnitas. The flavor and generous portions never disappoint. It's safe to say that Habanero's Tex Mex has become our go-to spot for lunch, with its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable prices sealing the deal.

Breakfast Taco Review Only I've only purchased tacos and coffee here but would love to go back when I have time for lunch. I've gone in the mornings before 8:00am.

Ben is Nice: I am unable to post pictures here but will work on that later. The first time, I ordered a potato/egg and a customized taco: bacon/potato. Ben, the server, looks like he's off from school but unlike other young people I've dealt with, has no attitude that you are wasting his time. He was very polite and accommodating yet still made sure I didn't want egg in my custom taco.

Food: There was green and red sauce but I prefer the red. Today, I ordered my custom taco again (with no 'tude from the cooks) and a chorizo/egg. The bacon/potato was made incorrectly but I do not mind AT ALL the mistake: it was all bacon! The chorizo/egg taco was beautifully orange and perfectly spiced with no flavor overtaking another. Although the restaurant menu states corn or flour tortillas, I've never said a choice so I automatically got flour; a decision I do not mind.

Ordering: You'll need to ask what kind of tacos they have because they do not have a sign depicting the variety but again, Ben's a good guy and he'll tell you.

Amount: This morning's trip of two tacos and coffee to go was a total of $7.50-ish. I'll leave it to you to decide about money parameters. I'm from the school that if food is good, it's worth a little more to pay.

Staff: As I've already said, Ben is a good guy. He's reading his iPad but stands up to welcome you when you walk in. He's so ready to take your order that I only had a few seconds to scan the menu before the silence got to be too much. ;p The cooks are out in the open like a sushi bar so you can chat with them if you like. The first time I left with my custom egg, I made sure to thank the cooks personally. They were appreciative of the recognition and wished me a good...

Not fancy but, it is real get down TexMex. Got a sampler of each of the "street tacos" to go: beef, chicken, pork and carne guidada. Went for flour tortillas this time. Tacos come with cilantro/onion mixture on them.

Beef, good. Chicken, good. Carne guisada, upper good. Pork, lower awesome (nice and greasy but not too much). The guisada leans towards the reddish variety rather than the brown. The sauces and pico on the side: the red is fully blended, with a nice kick. The green is a white palish green color with an even nicer kick and flavor (awesome on the chicken). The pico was fresh and had a nice dose of peppers in there. For those that like a more authentic TexMex, a good new place to check out. I'll be back to give the breakfast tacos a whirl this weekend.

Breakfast tacos: Bacon egg cheese- Fresh and good Chorizo and egg- Nice twang, not overly greasy. Good

Tried lunch today: Shrimp Brochette Really good. They have a slice of fresh jalapeño inside, not pickled.

Pollo Jalisco I had this, very nice. Fresh toppings.

Green Chicken Enchiladas Have to admit, this is one of the better ones that I have had.

Pollo Santiago Creamy fresh topping, really good. Stuffed Poblano Pepper Fresh tasting pepper, nicely grilled chicken inside

Sat at the counter and watch other meals being prepared. Fresh ingredients, being used throughout. This place is...
