412 Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Friona

I really wanted to like this place, especially since it’s one of the only coffee shops within 50 miles. The hot espresso drinks are fine, (although they always over fill them to the point that they spill or leak) but the frappes are completely awful.

I have order two frappes now and both times they did not contain ANY coffee or espresso, which is the point of going to a coffee shop. The first time I wrote it off that I couldn’t possibly have received a drink that didn’t have coffee, but the second time I know there was no espresso in it.

First, the drink’s color (please see photo) is too light/white for there to be any espresso in it. Second, I watched the lady make the drink and she never once used the espresso machine. But what is really irksome is when I was handed the drink I point blank asked the barista if there was coffee in it (or some type of caffeine) and she searched on the computer before answering that yes it was coffee based. So she really didn’t answer my question on whether or not MY drink had coffee just that the computer’s description said it was coffee based or she had no idea how to make a frappe (espresso, ice, milk, and flavor then blend). Either way, this is unacceptable.

So I just paid for a Carmel milkshake, again. I will be going to Dairy Queen for my afternoon coffee pick ups since I know they put coffee in theirs. Incredibly disappointing, this place could of had so much potential and I really wanted to be a...
