We were here once before and the food and service were excellent. At that visit we were made to feel most welcomed and that our patronage was appreciated. While the food was absolutely delicious on this visit the customer service was horrible! From the moment we walked in the attitude we got was vastly different from the first time we were there. I do have to admit though that the pizza is one of the best in the area. Unfortunately because the owner has entrusted night/weekend business to be in the hands of kids who really don't seem to know how to truly tend to the needs of the customer we likely won't be back. When I ordered I forgot to mention that I can't eat dairy so no cheese. Yes, my fault. However I've never been in a restaurant where whether it was server or customer error, the item wasn't at least partially credited on the bill. This child manager simply stated that he wasn't wasting food so we had to pay for it. It was Bingo night this night and we were excited about participating and were having a wonderful time UNTIL we missed a # because our table was being cleared costing me the win on that game. Both the manager and the caller were present when I checked the # that I missed and groaned that I would have won that round. I did win the next game but was offered a dessert that we could not eat. I asked if we could perhaps get a gift card instead (as they were handing those out as prizes too) but was told there were no more gift cards there. The manager DID give us a discount on our bill which was fair but still refused to credit that one pizza and was rather rude as he coldly said that he wasn't going to waste food even after we said that no other restaurant we'd been to dealt with that situation in that manner and if he didn't at least give us partial credit we wouldn't be back. Neither the waiter nor the manager seemed to care. I do plan to reach out to the owner during the week and see if I get a different response. If I do I'll retract or amend this review. If I don't I'll highly recommend NOT visiting this establishment despite the fact that the...

We like the food at Halo Pizzeria and have been going pretty often ever since we discovered the place. Today’s order experience was below average. I explained to the person at the front (wearing a red sweatshirt) that my order was incorrect, three times. She looked at me like I was wrong or didn’t understand what my order was when I knew full well what she rang me up for was incorrect. With what I saw to be an attitude, she went back to, I assume, the manager or owner to let him know I said my order was incorrect. He said they would correct/remake my order. My correct order was brought out, but no apology. I waited again to be checked out. Another gentleman came to ask if I was being helped, and I said I needed to be checked out. He checked me out and then walked away before the checkout process completed. I guess he assumed I knew I was good to go? The first person I spoke with didn’t acknowledge until I said I’m waiting to finish the checkout process. Again, with an attitude, she simply said, “You’re good.” No apology for the mix-up. She didn’t ask me if I needed a receipt. By this point, I was annoyed and didn’t bother to ask for a receipt. As I walked out, I turned to see her giving me the stare, as if I was nuts and my incorrect order was my fault and an inconvenience to them. The worst.

I get Fridays are busy, but a little more courtesy or an apology or follow through would have been appreciated and not something that would be too...

The Neighborhood pizzeria that we needed! The feel of the restaurant was very relaxed & comfortable, while also feeling classy. There’s a lovely patio, which is dog friendly. The staff was very friendly & attentive - their focus on the quality of what they serve was apparent. Be sure to ask them to bring you a cold refreshing bottle of filtered water! It’s filtered to perfection with 6 stage filter process. Our family ordered 3 pizzas - fresh from the oven handmade dough pizza is just the best. I am vegetarian & ordered a basic half cheese/half mushroom - the mushrooms were fresh, not rubbery from a can. The crust tasted very fresh & was a nice balance of fluffy with a crunchy bottom. There’s a selection of pies names after local Frisco schools, which is such a fun community centric idea. Since our girls attended Sem, we had to try “The Sem” a sweet & savory pizza with fig jam, balsamic glaze, prosciutto, & arugula. My husband had the Meatlover’s - which he said was not greasy & did not feel heavy on his stomach after enjoying. Overall, everything from the filtered water, natural sugar soda fountain, and the pizzas were fantastic! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu items & support our neighborhood pizzeria. I am hoping for the addition of breakfast...

Great NY Style Pizza...but a really loud restaurant! This pizzeria does a great job: crispy thin crust but not too hard, primo cheese (not the cheap stuff), and just enough sauce to put it all together. Ample seating inside and outside on a generous patio. Large groups can be handled. In fact, while we were there the was about a 20-person young girls soccer team a smattering of groups about the restaurant. This is where the "loud" kicked in. Even when the soccer group vacated, and maybe a dozen folks were left inside, the hard floor and glass surfaces just made the noise level LOUD! Don't get me wrong, this place is well worth the visit...but don't expect to have a conversation without raising your voice. Add in music being piped in with TVs going...well, you get the picture. Still, if you can tolerate the noise level, this pizza is done right! They come in 14" and 18" sizes and the smaller one can easily feed two people. They offer "cup and char" Pepperonni, which is a classic offering on NY style. Of course, there were plenty of generous toppings choices as well. Salads, Meatball subs, pepperoni rolls, and many other choices are on the menu! We'll be back, but if you're not someone who likes a really loud environment, then be sure to not pass up a to go order!!
